Alfred Blue rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries in the Texans' Week 17 win over the Jaguars, adding six catches for 37 yards.

Dec 28 - 4:44 PM

Cordarrelle Patterson finished Week 17 without a catch, seeing one target.

Patterson's lone "highlight" was a third-quarter drop that was intercepted by Kyle Fuller. Patterson was beyond-brutal as a wideout in first-year OC Norv Turner's system, ultimately dipping to No. 4 on the depth chart behind Charles Johnson, Greg Jennings, and Jarius Wright. Finishing with 33 receptions for 384 yards and one touchdown, Patterson's future in the league appears to be as a returns specialist and not as a traditional receiver. His Dynasty value took a huge, huge hit this year. Patterson will probably not be draft-able in 2015 re-draft leagues.

DeMarco Murray rushed 20 times for 100 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 17 win over the Redskins, adding three receptions for an additional 21 yards.

Dec 28 - 4:42 PM

Philip Rivers completed 20-of-34 passes for 291 yards with two interceptions in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Chiefs.

The loss eliminated the Chargers from the playoffs. Rivers ends the season having completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 4,286 yards and a 31:18 TD:INT ratio. He was forced to play without Keenan Allen and Ryan Mathews down the stretch, leading to eight interceptions over his last four games. Rivers also played through multiple injuries and could need offseason back surgery. Coming off a second half dropoff and entering his age-34 season, the Chargers should look to upgrade their offense around Rivers this offseason. Rivers will remain a top-12 fantasy quarterback entering 2015.
Dec 28 - 4:42 PM

Vikings RB Joe Banyard rushed six times for 20 yards and caught an 11-yard pass in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Bears.

He saw increased late-season playing time due to Adrian Peterson's suspension and Jerick McKinnon's year-ending back injury. Banyard ended 2014 with 21 rushes for 88 yards and nine receptions. Banyard is a capable backup, but there are no indications the Vikings see him as more than that, keeping Banyard behind plodding Matt Asiata on the depth chart. Banyard will likely return to compete for a roster spot in 2015.

Steve Smith Sr. caught 8-of-12 targets for 90 yards Week 17 against the Browns.

Smith had one bad drop, but otherwise had a solid day after struggling through the second half of the season. Smith was targeted in the end zone once, but had to turn into a defender on a badly underthrown ball from Joe Flacco. Losing steam down the stretch, Smith is not a great bet to be a big contributor in the postseason.
Dec 28 - 4:40 PM

Bishop Sankey rushed four times for 18 yards in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Colts.

It's a fitting end to a miserable rookie season for Sankey. Flashing none of the wiggle or burst he showed at Washington, Sankey posted 152 carries for 569 yards (3.74 YPC) and two touchdowns in 16 games. Along the way, he took criticism from coaches for poor footwork/pass protection, lost short yardage work to inept Shonn Greene and lost pass-game work to the likes of Leon Washington/Dexter McCluster. In short, the Titans likely regret making Sankey the first running back off the board at 54th overall last May.
Dec 28 - 4:39 PM

Case Keenum completed 25-of-35 passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Texans' 23-17, Week 17 win over the Jaguars.

Released at final cuts by the Texans coming out of the preseason, Keenum spent the majority of the season on the Rams’ practice squad before getting snapped up ahead of Week 16 and starting the final two games of the season, leading the Texans to two wins and keeping their playoff dreams alive. Keenum is a fearless gunslinger but has severe accuracy issues. He’s not an NFL starter, but should be given every opportunity to win a backup job somewhere in 2015.
