Charlie Blackmon slugged his 13th home run of the year Monday in the Rockies' loss to the Mariners.

Blackmon tagged Mariners starter Sam Gaviglio for a solo shot in the bottom of the third inning, finishing the day 1-for-4. The 30-year-old center fielder has been one of the best players in baseball through the first two months of the season, with his .329 batting average, .989 OPS, 13 home runs, 46 RBI, four stolen bases, and 38 runs scored in 52 games.

David Holmberg allowed three runs over four innings Monday against the Red Sox in a 5-4 win.

The soft-tossing southpaw gave up only two hits, but he walked three and needed 72 pitches to cover his four frames. Holmberg should get another start this weekend in Detroit with James Shields (lat) not ready yet. He can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Making his season debut, David Price was charged with three runs over five innings in Monday’s no-decision versus the White Sox.

Price surrendered just two hits on the day, but one of them was a three-run homer served up to Melky Cabrera in the third inning. He also walked a pair of batters and hit two in his final frame, needing a double-play ball to escape damage that inning. The southpaw needed 88 pitches to get through his five frames. While he understandably wasn’t overly sharp, Price’s velocity was fine and this wasn’t a bad first showing of the season. The left-hander will take on the Orioles in Baltimore this weekend.

Trevor Story hit his eighth home run of the season Monday in the Rockies' loss to the Mariners.

It was a solo shot in the fifth inning off Mariners starter Sam Gaviglio. Story hit the ball very well on his short minor league rehab assignment and he's looked good offensively since returning from the disabled list May 23. The young shortstop remains a good buy-low in fantasy leagues.

Sam Gaviglio allowed five earned runs over five innings but got a win Monday versus the Rockies.

Gaviglio walked two and gave up six hits, including two home runs, but the Seattle offense backed him with six runs and the 27-year-old right-hander came away with his first career major league win. He tallied just one strikeout in the ugly outing.

Tyler Chatwood was lit up for six earned runs over just 4 1/3 innings Monday in the Rockies' loss to the Mariners.

Chatwood gave up just one hit and struck out eight batters over seven shutout innings in his last start Wednesday versus the Phillies, but Monday was a very different experience for the 27-year-old right-hander. He walked three, gave up seven hits, and tallied only three strikeouts. Chatwood stands 4-7 on the year with a 5.04 ERA and 1.40 WHIP.

Bryce Harper was ejected Monday after charging the mound and throwing punches at the Giants' Hunter Strickland in a benches-clearing brawl.

Strickland famously served up two home runs to Harper in the 2014 NLDS, and this was the first time he had faced him since then. His first pitch drilled Harper in the hip, which was surely a coincidence. Harper barked at the pitcher and pointed at him with his bat before then charging the mound, throwing his helmet and then wielding some wild punches. The star outfielder is no doubt facing a suspension, and Strickland, who also threw punches and was ejected, is, as well.

Rangers optioned INF/OF Drew Robinson to Triple-A Round Rock.

He's clearing room for Adrian Beltre's return. Robinson was just called up Sunday.
