Texans CB Kevin Johnson (MCL) has resumed practicing.

Johnson has been sidelined since Week 2, but has a real shot at returning Sunday against the Seahawks. Johnson would be a big boost for a defense that's been gutted by injury the past few weeks.

Martavis Bryant says he missed mandatory team meetings on Monday because he was at the doctor.

It's the flimsiest of excuses, though it is what a teammate told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Bryant also missed practice time earlier this season with an illness. Either way, we wouldn't be hearing about this unless it was done without the Steelers' knowledge. Bryant has made his frustration loud and clear the past two weeks. The situation should come to a head in the next few days.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Martavis Bryant skipped mandatory team meetings on Monday.

This is escalating quickly. One of Bryant's teammates told beat writer Ed Bouchette the oft-suspended receiver "called in sick." Coming off a two-touch game, Bryant trashed JuJu Smith-Schuster, as well as the team, on Instagram. Bryant wants a trade, but unless the Steelers are desperate to get him out of the locker room, it's unclear what their motivation would be to deal him. Right now he provides proven play-making depth. Either way, a suspension could be coming.

Dolphins LT Laremy Tunsil (knee) is expected to be fine for Thursday Night Football.

Tunsil's injury was not as serious as it looked. The short week does provide a challenge, but it sounds like he will be out there on Matt Moore's blindside.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase confirms Jay Cutler is dealing with cracked ribs, and will be sidelined for Week 8.

With the Dolphins playing on Thursday Night Football, Cutler had no shot at being ready for Week 8. He's expected to be sidelined 2-3 weeks. Matt Moore provided an immediate spark on Sunday, but Gase has been adamant Cutler will be the team's starter when healthy. Moore has a tough short-week assignment in the Ravens.

Bills CB E.J. Gaines (hamstring) is considered day to day.

Gaines was ruled out in the second half Sunday. Hamstring injuries can be particularly tricky for corners, who have to constantly stop and start. Gaines has been having a solid first season in Buffalo, but fighting through injuries, notably a shoulder issue.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Cowboys K Dan Bailey (groin) is expected to miss "several weeks."

This appeared to be the likely outcome after Bailey was quickly ruled out against the 49ers. Dallas will work out free agent Ks Jason Myers, Mike Nugent, Sam Irwin Hill, and Younghoe Koo this week.

Browns announced LT Joe Thomas will miss the rest of the season with a torn left triceps.

An MRI confirmed the injury on Monday, and Thomas will likely be placed on injured reserve this week. It is a devastating blow for the Browns which also ends Thomas' streak of 167 consecutive starts. Spencer Drango replaced Thomas at left tackle on Sunday.
