C.J. Anderson rushed 23 times for 90 yards and a touchdown and caught 4-of-4 targets for ten yards in the Broncos' Super Bowl win over the Panthers.

Anderson finally and deservedly got the start over Ronnie Hillman and capitalized early with runs of 8 and 12 on his first two carries. Anderson added a tackle-busting 34-yard burst in the second quarter. His one-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter put icing on Denver's win. Although Anderson's slow start and committee with Ronnie Hillman rendered him a fantasy football disappointment, Anderson was very arguably the Broncos' best offensive player from Week 7 on. 25-year-old Anderson now heads to restricted free agency, where he should earn at least a second-round tender.

Peyton Manning completed 13-of-23 passes for 141 yards and an interception in the Broncos' Super Bowl win over the Panthers, 24-10.

A six-point pre-game underdog and the oldest starting quarterback in Super Bowl history, Peyton came out firing with passes on each of the Broncos' first five plays. Although Manning eventually settled into ball-control mode, the game script played directly into Denver's hands as the Broncos' defense strip-sacked Cam Newton for a first-quarter touchdown and Jordan Norwood returned a punt 61 yards. Teams that score defensive TDs in a Super Bowl are now 16-2 all time. Manning threw a second-quarter pick to Panthers DE Kony Ealy on a well-designed zone drop by DC Sean McDermott, but Carolina's offense couldn't capitalize versus Denver's shutdown defense. Although Super Bowl MVP Von Miller and Denver's defense and special teams were more responsible for this win, Peyton can now ride into the sunset with two Super Bowl rings.

A tweet from Marshawn Lynch on Sunday night indicated Lynch plans to retire.

Lynch's tweet -- accessible at the link below -- has a "deuces" sign with two fingers up and a picture of Marshawn's green cleats. The cleats are hanging; BeastMode seems poised to "hang 'em up" after nine NFL seasons.

Corey Brown is done for the day in Super Bowl 50 due to a concussion.

It's a big blow to Carolina's offense, which is down by two scores and will likely need to throw the ball successfully to engineer a comeback. Brown has been the Panthers' best wide receiver this postseason, and had a team-high 80 yards before exiting.

Corey Brown left Sunday's Super Bowl game against the Broncos with a possible concussion.

Brown has had a huge postseason and showed up big time in the Super Bowl before leaving, catching 4-of-7 targets for 80 yards. One play after Brown left the game, Ted Ginn deflected a target into the hands of Broncos ILB Danny Trevathan, giving the ball back to Denver. The Broncos lead 16-7. Brown will need to pass the NFL's in-game concussion tests in order to return.

The Broncos indeed started C.J. Anderson over Ronnie Hillman in Super Bowl 50.

Longtime beat writer Mike Klis reported this would happen before game time. Anderson has been a far superior runner to Hillman since the first six weeks of the season, and is now being featured ahead of Hillman in Sunday's bout with the Panthers. As of halftime, Anderson had 58 yards on eight carries. Two of Hillman's three first-half runs were thrown for a loss.
Feb 7 - 8:45 PM

Jonathan Stewart limped off the field with a left foot injury on the Panthers' second drive of the Super Bowl, but returned on the team's fourth possession.

Stewart has battled toe, foot, and ankle injuries for his entire NFL career, and ankle problems most recently. He was listed as questionable to return before coming back on the field late in the first quarter.

9 News Denver's Mike Klis reports the Broncos will start C.J. Anderson over Ronnie Hillman in Super Bowl 50.

Hillman has technically been Denver's starter since Week 6, after Anderson got off to a painfully slow start. Anderson has severely outplayed Hillman ever since and especially in the playoffs, where Hillman is averaging 2.00 yards per carry and Anderson is averaging nearly five. Klis notes Hillman will remain involved, but Anderson "will get the first chance to find his rhythm."
