Mike Napoli was ejected from Friday's game against the Rangers for arguing a called third strike call with home plate umpire Todd Tichenor.

Eric O'Flaherty is expected to make his final appearance in a minor league rehab game with High-A Stockton on Saturday before rejoining the Athletics bullpen.

He has been sidelined since early May with left shoulder inflammation. Before hitting the shelf, the 30-year-old southpaw posted a troublesome 11.57 ERA and 2.29 WHIP over seven innings of work out of the A's bullpen.

Chris Davis belted his 12th home run of the season as the Orioles topped the Rays 2-1 on Friday.

His solo shot off Kevin Jepsen tied the game at 1-1 in the seventh inning and provided the O's the opportunity to come back and win later on. He finished the night 2-for-3 and also drew a walk, raising his season slash to .228/.312/.506 to go along with 12 homers and 30 RBI.

Miguel Gonzalez pitched well in a no-decision against the Rays on Friday, allowing just one run on three hits over eight strong innings.

The veteran right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the night without issuing a walk. The only blemish on his evening was a solo homer off the bat of Steven Souza in the second inning. While he doesn't rack up elite strikeout numbers, Gonzalez owns a solid 3.48 ERA over 62 innings on the season. He'll look to get back in the win column when he takes on the Astros in Houston on Wednesday.

Anthony DeSclafani gave up two runs over six innings in a 5-2 win over the Nationals on Friday.

DeSclafani held the Nationals to a pair of RBI singles. He gave up eight hits in all while walking two (one intentional) and striking out just one batter. This was his first win since April 20. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 3.41 ERA through 10 starts this season, but he owns a mediocre 41/25 K/BB ratio in 58 innings.

Aroldis Chapman tossed a scoreless ninth inning against the Nationals on Friday for his eighth save of the season.

Chapman struck out two in the inning and worked around a one-out single from Bryce Harper to notch the save. While this is mostly about how bad the Reds have been recently, this was just his third save this month. The hard-throwing left-hander has a 1.69 ERA with 36 strikeouts and 11 walks over 21 1/3 innings of work this season.

Todd Frazier went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Friday against the Nationals.

Frazier now has 15 home runs on the season, which puts him three behind Washington's Bryce Harper for the National League lead. He's already more than halfway to the 29 home runs he hit all of last season. Frazier has hit safely in eight of his last nine games, giving him a .266/.357/.584 batting line on the year.

Joey Votto smacked a solo homer in Friday's win over the Nationals.

It was his eighth home run of the season and his first since since way back on April 28. After hitting .317 in April, the 31-year-old has hit just .236 this month.
