Jeremy Hellickson improved his trade stock by holding the Marlins to one hit over six shutout frames in Monday's 4-0 victory.

Hellickson recorded just one strikeout, but he also permitted only one hit and one walk. He had thrown just 70 pitches through six innings, but the Phillies elected to pinch-hit for him in the top of the seventh when they had a scoring opportunity. Hellickson will go into the trade deadline having yielded just one run over 14 frames. If he's not dealt by then, he'll get the Braves this weekend.

Jarred Cosart held the Phillies off the scoreboard over five frames but took a no-decision Monday.

Cosart held the Phils to just three hits and one walk, but he racked up a high pitch count (92) as he often does, leading to him being pulled after just five innings. With the Marlins almost surely slated to acquire a starter or two this week, Cosart could be sent back to Triple-A. If he gets another start, it will come this weekend versus the Cardinals.

Tommy Joseph singled and doubled in the winning run of Monday's victory over the Marlins.

Joseph broke a scoreless tie in the eighth inning with an RBI double. He was the only player on both teams to notch a multi-hit game and the first baseman now has multiple hits in three of his last five starts.
Jul 25 - 11:01 PM

Derek Dietrich was hitless in three trips to the plate Monday.

The Marlins managed just two singles all night against Jeremy Hellickson and the Phillies' bullpen. Dietrich now has just four hits over his last 41 at-bats, dropping his average from .307 to .275. It's a bad time for him to be slumping with Dee Gordon due back later this week.

Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said after Monday's game that Jake Lamb is dealing with a bruised left hand.

Lamb isn't expected to undergo an MRI, but Hale said that they'll try to give him some rest and treatment. Consider him day-to-day. Lamb went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts on Monday and is now hitless over his last five games.
Jul 25 - 10:51 PM

Yovani Gallardo limited the Rockies to two runs over 6 2/3 frames but took a no-decision in Monday's 3-2 extra-innings win.

Gallardo struck out six batters -- which tied his season high -- while allowing five hits and two walks. It's arguably his best outing in an Orioles uniform, as it's his second-longest start for Baltimore and was just the fourth time in 12 tries that he gave up two runs or fewer. Gallaro faces the Blue Jays over the weekend.
Jul 25 - 10:48 PM

Jorge De La Rosa held the Orioles to two runs -- one earned -- over 6 1/3 innings Monday but took a no-decision.

De La Rosa walked three, but he managed to hold the O's to just four hits. He departed with a 2-1 lead but Adam Ottavino allowed an RBI groundout to the first batter he faced. De La Rosa was knocked around in his previous outing but has mostly been very good since rejoining the rotation. He'll face the Mets on the road this weekend.
Jul 25 - 10:40 PM

Adam Jones went 2-for-5 with two RBI and scored the game-winning run in Monday's extra-innings win over the Rockies.

Both base knocks were singles, but Jones got the scoring going with an RBI single in the second and tied things up with an RBI groundout in the seventh. He should have been thrown out in the 10th, but Jordan Lyles misfired a ball to home and Nick Hundley couldn't hang on. It's been a rough July for Jones, but he has two multi-hit games in his last three tries.
