Saints WR Tommylee Lewis caught 3-of-4 targets for 43 yards in the Week 3 loss to the Falcons.

With Willie Snead (toe) inactive, UDFA Lewis played 11-of-82 snaps and and also got one cary on a double-reverse that picked up just one yard. Lewis is a tiny 5'7/168 rookie out of Northern Illinois who was recommended to the Saints by legendary coach Bill Parcells. He'll go back to the bench in Week 4.

Tim Hightower rushed three times for 19 yards in the Saints' Week 3 loss to the Falcons.

Hightower got one series mostly to himself, but Mark Ingram otherwise dominated all the early-down work with 107 total yards and one score on 19 touches. Hightower will only come into play if Ingram gets hurt.

Brandon Coleman caught 7-of-8 targets for 78 yards in the Saints' Week 3 loss to the Falcons.

Coleman got the start opposite Michael Thomas with Willie Snead (toe) inactive. He was the third receiver through the rotation much of the night behind Brandin Cooks and Thomas. His longest grab went for 28 yards, and Coleman was mostly working the middle of the field with Thomas (7-71-1) and Coby Fleener (7-109-1). His lone misconnection was a fourth-quarter drop. Coleman should go back to No. 4 duties with Snead likely to return Week 4 against the Chargers.

Travaris Cadet caught 6-of-6 targets for 32 yards in the Saints' Week 3 loss to the Falcons.

Cadet didn't register a carry. The Falcons have long been dreadful at covering opposing running backs out of the backfield, and Cadet whipped them all night in the flats and on wheel routes. He also had a long first-quarter catch called back on a weak offensive pass interference penalty. Cadet has a role in the Saints' pass game and is worth owning in deeper PPR leagues. He gets another strong matchup Week 4 at San Diego. Heading into Monday, the Chargers had allowed the most catches for the third-most yards to opposing running backs this season.
Sep 27 - 12:30 AM

Brandin Cooks caught just 2-of-8 targets for 13 yards in the Saints' Week 3 loss to the Falcons on Monday night.

He was targeted just once after halftime. Even without Willie Snead (toe) in the lineup, Cooks was mostly a non-factor, drawing a lot of Pro Bowl CB Desmond Trufant's coverage. It freed up Coby Fleener (7-109-1) and rookie Michael Thomas (7-71-1) to do a ton of damage in the middle of the field. Cooks will draw another tough matchup with Chargers CB Jason Verrett in Week 4.

Justin Hardy caught 2-of-2 targets for 26 yards and one touchdown in the Falcons' Week 3 win over the Saints on Monday night.

Hardy and Taylor Gabriel rotated in behind Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu, but Sanu left at halftime with a shoulder injury, leaving more snaps for the Nos. 3 and 4 guys. Hardy's touchdown came on a shovel pass from four yards away. Even if Sanu sits Week 4, Hardy won't be a recommended play against the Panthers. The running backs and Julio Jones would dominate looks.

Mark Ingram rushed 15 times for 77 yards and caught 4-of-6 targets for 30 yards and one touchdown in the Saints' Week 3 loss to the Falcons, adding a two-point conversion.

The five-yard touchdown catch came when Ingram motioned out wide left and caught a screen pass before waltzing into the end zone inside the pylon. It was his first receiving touchdown of his career. As evidenced by his 5.1 YPC average, Ingram had gaping holes to run through most of the night. He also had a lengthy run called back on a holding penalty by Coby Fleener. After seeing just 27 total touches Weeks 1-2, the 19 on Monday night gives Ingram owners a sigh of relief. Backups Travaris Cadet and Tim Hightower combined for nine touches. Ingram will be a locked-in RB1 next week at a Chargers defense that was gashed by Spencer Ware in Week 1 and Frank Gore this past Sunday.
Sep 27 - 12:19 AM

Jacob Tamme caught 3-of-4 targets for 28 yards in the Falcons' Week 3 win over the Saints on Monday night.

After seeing eight targets in each of the Falcons' first two games, Tamme was an afterthought on Monday night with the Falcons' running backs doing all the damage and Matt Ryan spreading the ball around to eight different targets. Tamme's lone missed target was an end-zone try that sailed incomplete. Tamme will be a borderline TE1/2 next week against the Panthers.
