Francisco Cervelli had a bases-clearing double and a run scored in Friday’s win over the Cardinals.

He went 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch on the night. Cervelli has plated six runs over his last four games, bringing his total to 30 RBI for the year. He’s only 13 away from his career-high from 2015. Only Gary Sanchez (33 RBI going into Friday) has driven in more runs among catchers so far this season. He's been a nice surprise for fantasy owners.

Austin Meadows went 2-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base, and two runs scored Friday against the Cardinals.

Meadows is now batting .448 (13-for-29) through his first seven games in the majors. He has three straight multi-hit games. Chances are he’ll head back to Triple-A with Starling Marte (oblique) poised to come off the disabled list, but he’s trying to make the decision a tough one. Either way, it has been an impressive start.

Tommy Pham slugged a solo homer in Friday’s loss to the Pirates.

His eighth-inning blast was the only offense of the game for St. Louis. The homer snapped an 0-for-17 hitless stream for Pham. The overall numbers still look very good, as he’s batting .292/.394/.513 with nine homers, 20 RBI, eight steals, and 36 runs scored through 43 games.

Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-3 with a double Friday against the Pirates.

Ozuna was back in the lineup after a benching on Wednesday for oversleeping and showing up late to the ballpark. The Cardinals and fantasy owners have been waiting for his bat to wake up for quite a while now. While Ozuna has three multi-hit games in his last four, he has just three homers on the year and one in his last 31 games.

Martin Prado was removed from Friday night's game against the Nationals with an apparent leg injury.

Prado came up hobbling after racing to beat out a ground ball at first base. He had to be helped off the field and down the dugout steps. He was having a terrific night at the plate before the injury, going 3-for-4 with two doubles off of Max Scherzer. Look for an update from the Marlins on his status after the game.

Rene Rivera underwent successful surgery on Friday to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.

The veteran backstop is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks. Jose Briceno will continue to function as the primary backup to Martin Maldonado while Rivera is sidelined.

Austin Hedges pulled himself out of his rehab game at Triple-A El Paso on Thursday due to renewed soreness in his elbow.

He'll be shut down for a few days before being re-evaluated. Hedges had been expected to rejoin the Padres this weekend, but that plan is obviously on hold now.

Clayton Kershaw (biceps) is scheduled to throw four innings in a simulated game on Saturday.

He'll throw around 60 pitches in the outing. If all goes well, he'll then be cleared for a minor league rehab start. Barring any setbacks, he's looking at a return to the Dodgers' rotation in mid June.
