Yordano Ventura (hand) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Omaha on Monday.

The righty didn't have any issues with his right hand during a bullpen session Saturday, but he still felt a very slight numbness in his last rehab outing so the Royals are going to play it safe. Ventura will be re-evaluated after Monday's start, as he would potentially be in line to rejoin the rotation next weekend.

Derek Norris was in the Padres' lineup on Saturday despite being diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder.

Norris suffered the injury on Friday when he collided with Cardinals first baseman Xavier Scruggs. He stayed in that game and it appears the catcher will continue to attempt to play through the ailment. "They classified it as an AC sprain," interim manager Pat Murphy said Saturday. "He was adamant about being in there. I think he's going to go through periods where he's sore. The doctors say it can't get any worse. They thought he'd be a lot more sore today."

Jacoby Ellsbury (knee) has missed three out of five games while on a rehab assignment due to general fatigue in his legs.

The Yankees had been hoping Ellsbury would be ready for activation this weekend, but now they're not sure when he'll return. "His legs aren’t where they need to be for him to play on a consistent basis," manager Joe Girardi said. "That’s our concern because they’re so important to him." It's sounding like we probably shouldn't expect Ellsbury back before the All-Star break.

Indians manager Terry Francona said Saturday that Josh Tomlin (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment "pretty soon."

Tomlin has been throwing off a mound at the Tribe's spring training complex. Working his way back from surgery on his right AC join, Tomlin is hoping to be an option for the Indians at some point in the second half.

T.J. House (shoulder) will be shut down for two weeks before resuming a throwing program.

A second opinion confirmed that House is dealing with tendinitis in his left shoulder. The southpaw hasn't appeared in a game in a month and it sounds like it will be a while before he's ready for game action again.

Nick Swisher (knee) is on track to begin a rehab assignment just after the All-Star break.

Swisher ran on the field prior to Saturday's game as he works his way back from inflammation in his surgically-repaired left knee. He's already missed nearly a month and it's unclear how many rehab games he'll require.

Rangers pitching prospect Dillon Tate didn't make a scheduled start for Short-Season Spokane on Saturday due to right shoulder soreness.

It's unclear at this point how serious the ailment is. Tate, who was the No. 4 overall selection in last month's draft, had made one previous appearance for Spokane.

Josh Hamilton could be placed back on the disabled list with a strained groin.

It's being called a groin strain, but Rangers manager Jeff Banister admitted that Hamilton's "whole lower half" has been an issue since he went on the disabled list with a strained hamstring at the end of May. The results of an MRI Saturday haven't been revealed yet, but it appears Hamilton could be shut down again. "Obviously, we’ll see where he is throughout the night," Banister said Saturday. "We’ll continue to try to manage how he feels. This is a guy we’d like to have for an extended period of time. I’m trying my best to figure this whole thing out with him and what is best for Josh."
