Lucas Duda went 2-for-5 with a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Marlins.

The multi-hit game was Duda's fourth in his last seven games. The good stretch has his line up to .248/.349/.483 with 21 homers and 50 RBI.

Chris Young filled up the box score as the Yankees routed the Red Sox on Tuesday, finishing 3-for-4.

Young walked, homered, knocked in three runs, and scored four runs. He drilled a three-run home run in the seventh inning, capping off a nine-run seventh inning which brought the Yankees' lead to 13-3. Young has once again served as an important semi-regular bat for the Yankees, hitting .268/.325/.500 with 13 home runs and 36 RBI in 271 plate appearances.

Brian McCann went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and a three-run home run as the Yankees routed the Red Sox on Tuesday.

McCann doubled in the second of three sixth-inning runs, then slugged his three-run homer as part of a nine-run outburst in the seventh. The catcher has gone yard three times in his last five games, bringing him to 18 on the season with 65 RBI and a .255/.325/.477 batting line.

Brad Hand threw four scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Tuesday.

Hand, making his first start since June 8, scattered five hits and a walk over his four innings. He left with a lead, despite not being eligible for the win, but the Mets eventually came back against the Marlins bullpen. Hand owns a 4.71 ERA and 1.37 WHIP on the year. His next turn in the rotation will come Sunday at the Braves.

Starlin Castro went 2-for-5 with two RBI doubles as the Cubs shut out the Pirates 5-0 on Tuesday.

Castro doubled in a run and later scored in the third inning, helping the Cubs take a 3-0 lead. He made it 4-0 in the fifth with another RBI double. Offensive contributions have been few and far between for the shortstop, who's hitting a paltry .238/.272/.307 with five home runs and 46 RBI.
Aug 4 - 10:37 PM

J.A. Happ lost in his Pirates debut, serving up four runs in 4 1/3 innings versus the Cubs on Tuesday.

Happ just didn't have much working, as he allowed 10 base runners on 10 hits and two walks and uncorked a wild pitch before departing with one out in the fifth. He did strike out six batters, something he'd only done five other times in 21 starts this year. Combined with his time with the Mariners, Happ now has a 4.78 ERA and has to face the Cardinals on the road in his next start.
Aug 4 - 10:34 PM

Jake Arrieta didn't let the Pirates touch home plate in his seven innings of work, earning the win on Tuesday.

The right-hander was dominant, yielding only two hits and three walks with five strikeouts in the effort. After breaking out last season with a 2.53 ERA -- following years of mediocrity with the Orioles -- Arrieta has repeated this season, brandishing a 2.50 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP, and a 152/37 K/BB ratio over 147 2/3 innings. He'll make a home start against the Giants next.
