Chris Dickerson had an infield single and a pair of solo homers in Tuesday's win over the Yankees.

Phil Hughes was the victim of both bombs, serving up the dingers in the third and fifth innings. Dickerson and Nate McLouth were the offensive heroes for the O's, as McLouth slugged a walk-off solo shot in the 10th to break the team's six-game losing streak. Dickerson has seen a little more playing time of late and is now batting .371 over 15 games.

Alex Cobb went 6 1/3 innings, allowing just one run, as the Rays beat the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Cobb had a bit of a strange game, as he allowed just a solo home run to Colby Rasmus but only struck out two batters on the outing. Still, it was effective enough to pick up his fifth win of the season, and he's now got a 2.73 ERA through nine starts. His next start, Monday against the Marlins, sets up very nicely for the 25-year-old.

Colby Rasmus went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, but the Blue Jays lost to the Rays on Tuesday.

The homer was Rasmus' seventh on the year, and he scored two runs in the game. Rasmus is doing his usual thing this year, hitting .234/.303/.433 through 42 games. With the recent call-up of Anthony Gose, Rasmus might see some of his playing time disappear in the coming weeks if he doesn't produce more games like Tuesday's.

Travis Hafner had a pair of RBI singles in Tuesday's loss to the Orioles.

Hafner plated runs in the first and fourth innings, but they were the only tallies the Yankees could muster in the extra innings loss. Pronk dealt with a shoulder issue last week, but he appears to be fine now, having homered twice and driven in two runs in each of his three games since returning to action.

Fernando Rodney recorded five outs to pick up his ninth save of the season on Tuesday.

It was Rodney's second save since his meltdown last Thursday, but it wasn't without incident. Rodney allowed a ground-rule double to Colby Rasmus in the ninth and he scored on a wild pitch, cutting the Rays' lead to one. But after a walk, Rodney struck out Melky Cabrera to end it. His job as Rays closer looks to be safe.

Josh Johnson (triceps) will make at least two more rehab starts.

Johnson struck out five over three innings of one-run ball on Monday with High-A Dunedin. He's feeling good physically, but the right-hander obviously needs to build up his stamina. He'll rejoin the rotation in early June if he can avoid a setback.
May 21 - 10:32 PM

Bud Norris left Tuesday's start against the Royals following six scoreless innings after aggravating his back injury.

Norris was originally supposed to start Sunday after leaving his previous outing with back spasms but was pushed back just in case. Obviously, it appears that he's not over the ailment. The righty gave up just five hits and two walks over six frames before exiting Tuesday. The Astros should provide an update on his status after the game.
May 21 - 10:29 PM

Max Scherzer dominated the Indians over eight innings Tuesday, allowing just one run in the Tigers' 5-1 victory.

Scherzer allowed just two hits on the evening, striking out seven. After a first-inning run, the right-hander kept the Indians under wraps. The win moved him to 6-0 on the year, and he's got a 3.61 ERA and 0.91 WHIP through nine starts. His next start will come Sunday against the Twins.
