Giants undrafted WRs Corey Washington and Marcus Harris are expected to get some work with the first-team offense in Friday's fourth preseason game.

It's expected to come at the expense of Jerrel Jernigan, who is in danger of being cut. Washington has been the Giants' best receiver this summer, reeling in all seven of his targets for 116 yards and three scores. Washington is fully expected to make the 53-man roster. Harris is likely competing with Mario Manningham.

ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky considers seventh-round WR Jeff Janis a lock to make the 53-man roster.

Janis has had a strong camp and then scored a 34-yard catch-and-run touchdown last weekend against the Rams. There's no way he'd sneak through waivers and onto the Packers' practice squad. Janis will likely open the season as the Packers' No. 5 receiver. He needs to be owned in all Dynasty formats.

Free agent RB Isaac Redman has retired from the NFL.

His career was ended by a spinal cord injury last season. Redman likely suffered the injury when he was diagnosed with a concussion in Week 2. The 29-year-old spent his entire career with the Steelers as an UDFA out of Bowie State. He rushed for 1,148 yards and five touchdowns on 282 carries.

According to Jenny Vrentas of Sports Illustrated, some Jets coaches have expressed disappointment that Michael Vick didn't show up more hell-bent on winning the starting job.

"I had some great years and played in some great games and went through a lot," Vick said. "Now it’s an opportunity for me to refresh myself and take a step back away from the game." Vick is resigned to the fact that he's Geno Smith's backup, but some want more urgency out of him since he's one play away from being the starter. At 34, Vick seems to admit his time is running out.

Jamaal Charles (foot) isn't expected to play in Saturday's third preseason game.

Neither is Dwayne Bowe. Charles' foot is no longer an issue; he's simply getting the Adrian Peterson treatment. The Chiefs have experienced plenty of turnover on the offensive line, but Charles is still a top-three fantasy back.

Shelley Smith took most of the first-team right guard reps at Dolphins practice this week.

Dallas Thomas heads to the bench after getting destroyed in both the run and pass games during Miami's first two preseason games. Smith entered camp as the starting center after Mike Pouncey got hurt. That transition didn't work, and he's back at his more natural position. Smith is an above-average run blocker.

Bengals OC Hue Jackson said rookie RB Jeremy Hill is "worthy of playing" with the starting offense and will likely get some work with the ones in Sunday's third preseason game.

Hill has worked with the second- and third-team offenses through the first two weeks of the preseason, though Jackson said he actually thought Hill had already gotten some run with the ones. Jackson isn't concerned about Hill's ability to sync with the starters, saying he thinks "that's a little overrated -- runners run." While BenJarvus Green-Ellis has been the second back through the rotation the first two games, Hill's clearly the more talented runner. He's over his shoulder "injury." We feel comfortable projecting Hill as the 1B to Gio Bernard's 1A.

Following Thursday night's third preseason game, coach Chip Kelly noted that Chris Polk (hamstring) better be looking over his shoulder.

Polk hasn't played at all this preseason with a slightly torn hamstring. While he's been out, UDFAs Matthew Tucker and Henry Josey have been running the ball well behind LeSean McCoy. The Eagles have also added Kelly favorite Kenjon Barner to their backfield. Polk's roster spot is in danger after he opened the season as the heavy favorite for No. 2 handcuff duties to McCoy.
