Mike Moustakas - 3B - Royals

Mike Moustakas went 1-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch and a caught stealing Saturday against the Angels.

Nobody is struggling more than Ike Davis right now, but Moustakas is pretty close. He entered Saturday's action with just two hits in his last 42 at-bats. Royals manager Ned Yost is sticking with his young third baseman for now, but the clock is ticking for him to stave off a possible demotion.

Jed Lowrie - SS - Athletics

Jed Lowrie (foot) is out of the A's starting lineup again on Saturday night against the Astros.

Lowrie has been on the shelf since taking a Yu Darvish pitch off his right foot Tuesday. X-rays came back negative but the shortstop still has some soreness.

J.J. Hardy - SS - Orioles

J.J. Hardy went 2-for-4 with a two-run double in a 6-5 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Hardy got off to a miserable start this season, but he's hitting .284 with six home runs, six doubles and 16 RBI in 22 games this month. Only Troy Tulowitzki has more RBI than Hardy (31) among shortstops.

Freddy Garcia - S - Orioles

Freddy Garcia yielded three runs (two earned) in five innings Saturday in a win over the Blue Jays.

All in all, not bad considering how the Blue Jays have been swinging the bats recently. Garcia scattered nine hits while striking out one batter and walking none. The veteran right-hander has a 4.61 ERA and 9/6 K/BB ratio in 27 1/3 innings across his first five starts with Baltimore. While he shouldn't be an option in most fantasy leagues, he's doing fine as a stopgap option in the starting rotation.

Wilson Valdez - SS - Marlins

Wilson Valdez has signed a contract with the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League.

Valdez was released by the Marlins after opening the 2013 season with a .232/.275/.259 batting line in 122 plate appearances at Triple-A New Orleans. The 35-year-old probably won't make it back to the major leagues.

R.A. Dickey - S - Blue Jays

R.A. Dickey was tagged for five runs over 6 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Orioles.

Another clunker for Dickey, who entered Saturday's start with three straight outings of two earned runs allowed. The knuckleballer gave up nine hits (including two homers) and three walks in the loss. He now has a disappointing 4.85 ERA for the year and has walked 31 batters in 68 2/3 innings. He didn't issue his 31st walk last season until July 29.

Danny Valencia - DH - Orioles

Danny Valencia launched a two-run homer and drew a walk in Saturday's win over the Blue Jays.

Valencia, who was called up from the minors last week, has now homered in back-to-back games. The 28-year-old is getting a look out of the DH spot now that Adam Jones feels healthy enough to play center field, so give him a shot in AL-only leagues.

Emilio Bonifacio - 2B - Blue Jays

Emilio Bonifacio swatted his second home run of the season in Saturday's loss to the Orioles.

It was a solo shot. While fantasy owners will take the power, Bonifacio has been a disappointment otherwise this year. The 28-year-old is hitting just .212 with a .246 on-base percentage in 41 games and has only stolen four bases.
