Lions suspended DT C.J. Mosley two weeks for violation of team rules.

Mosley was sent home from London on Saturday for conduct detrimental to the team. He's been placed on the reserve/suspended list, with S Jerome Couplin taking his spot on the active roster. Caraun Reid will pick up Mosley's snaps behind Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley.

Robert Griffin III (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Cowboys.

Griffin was able to practice on a limited basis, but isn't expected to return this week. There's a chance he'll back for Week 9 against the Vikings. Coach Jay Gruden suggested Griffin could be held out through Washington's Week 10 bye. Colt McCoy will start on Monday night in Dallas.

LeGarrette Blount has replaced Dri Archer as the Steelers' kick returner.

The Steelers are averaging 17.5 yards per return, and rank next-to-last in starting field position. Archer has been a disappointment on special teams this season, with his longest return just 23 yards. The Steelers hope Blount can provide an upgrade after he averaged 29.1 yards on kickoffs in New England last year.

Updating a previous report, ESPN Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky reports RB Shonn Greene's roster spot is not in jeopardy following his Friday night arrest.

Greene was arrested for failing to halt for a traffic officer. Greene was being issued a ticket for parking in a handicap spot. Greene (hamstring) is listed as probable for the Titans' Week 8 contest with the Texans.

The hip injury Patriots DE Chandler Jones suffered Week 7 will sideline him at least six weeks, and could cost him the entire season.

That escalated quickly. Orignially expected to be a month long absence, it now appears Jones will at best be avaible for the Patriots' Week 13 contest against the Packers, though New England is "not optimistic" Jones will be able to meet that timetable. Jones' injury is a huge blow for the Patriots' defense. Jones has 4.5 of New England's 18 sacks this season, and his pass-rushing presence makes everyone else along the defensive front better.

49ers placed C Daniel Kilgore and CB Chris Cook on season-ending injured reserve.

S Ray Ventrone was re-signed in a corresponding move. Kilgore broke a bone in his left leg during the 49ers' loss to Denver Week 7. San Francisco will hope third-round rookie Marcus Martin (knee) is ready following the team's Week 8 bye. Cook suffered a hamstring injury against the Broncos Week 7.

Browns activated C Nick McDonald (wrist) off the non-football injury list.

TE Gerell Robinson was waived in a corresponding move. With Alex Mack done for the season, McDonald will likely start at center for the Browns on Sunday against the Raiders. McDonald has not played in a regular-season game since 2012.

Buccaners signed DT Gerald McCoy to a seven-year, $98-million contract extension.

The deal reportedly includes $51.5 million guaranteed, and makes McCoy the highest paid defensive tackle in NFL history. McCoy struggled with injuries his first two seasons, but bounced back to become one of the most dominant defensive forces in the league over the last two years. Only 26, McCoy was a first-team All-Pro last season, and already has two Pro-Bowl selections under his belt. McCoy has two sacks and nine hurries on 274 defensive snaps this season.
