Jamaal Charles experienced knee swelling on Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 7 against the Saints.
Charles was added to Friday's injury report as questionable, going through only a "limited" practice. Charles has encountered multiple setbacks since tearing his ACL last Week 5 and is now in legitimate danger of not playing against New Orleans. Look for another heavy workload out of Spencer Ware regardless of whether Charles suits up. Even if Charles is active, he would be a high-risk flex option. Ware remains an every-week fantasy RB1.
Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson (questionable, ankle) is in danger of missing Week 7.
Wilkerson has performed far below expectation on the Jets' underachieving defensive line this year, but his loss would still be significant against the Ravens, upgrading Terrance West's matchup slightly. Wilkerson did not practice on Friday, and afterward coach Todd Bowles indicated the injury is getting worse.
Speaking Friday, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said "we'll see" when asked about Tyler Eifert's (back, questionable) Week 7 availability.
Lewis said Eifert's status won't be a game-time decision, and the Bengals will decide on Saturday whether he's ready to go. "He’s done good job," Lewis said. "He had time and had done some things prior to his back getting sore. I think he feels good about things and we’ll see how we are with everybody else." Even if Eifert is active, he would be an extremely risky fantasy investment in his first game back following setbacks. There are better streamers on the board like Cameron Brate, Jack Doyle, and Vernon Davis this week.
Redskins placed WR Josh Doctson (Achilles) on injured reserve.
He'll miss a minimum of eight weeks, meaning the earliest we'd see Doctson back on the field is Week 15. The more likely scenario is that Docton packs it in for the year. He's been battling Achilles issues off and on since minicamp with no signs of improvement. The first-round rookie has played just 31 offensive snaps this year.
DeAngelo Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Week 7.
Fitzgerald Toussaint will back up Le'Veon Bell against New England. Williams has no timetable for a return, but we suspect he'll be back after the Steelers' Week 8 bye. This is your cue to drop him in shallower fantasy leagues.
Jordan Reed (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 7.
It's unclear whether Reed had a setback, but the fact that he practiced on a limited basis Wednesday then had no participation on both Thursday and Friday is pretty concerning. Vernon Davis will take over as the Redskins' primary tight end. Niles Paul has been being used in a fullback/H-back role.
Theo Riddick (ankle) missed practice again on Friday.
He isn't going to play against the Redskins, leaving backfield work to Zach Zenner, Dwayne Washington, and Justin Forsett. We also saw a spike in Golden Tate's production with Riddick and Eric Ebron sidelined last week. Ebron has also not practiced at all this week and isn't going to play.
Colts LG Jack Mewhort (triceps) is out for Week 7 against the Titans.
This was the expected outcome for Mewhort, who wasn't able to practice this week. The Colts' inept offensive line can ill-afford to lose Mewhort, who owns PFF's ninth-highest guard grade out of 78 qualifiers this year. Andrew Luck could be running for his life on Sunday.
