Jesse Hahn fired six innings of one-run ball in a 5-2 win over the Braves on Friday.

Hahn was solid in his return to the majors, allowing just three hits and three walks while striking out four batters. The only run scored on a sacrifice fly from Justin Upton his final inning of work. The 24-year-old now owns a 2.12 ERA and 51/19 K/BB ratio in 46 2/3 innings over eight starts this season. The Padres don't figure to score many runs for him (even after the past two nights), but he should be relevant in mixed leagues as long as he's in the rotation.

Alex Wood was chased after giving up five runs (four earned) over five innings Friday against the Padres.

Wood gave up a career-high 12 hits in the loss. Just to put things in perspective, he had allowed 11 hits over his previous three starts combined. While it was an unexpected clunker, Wood remains a solid option in fantasy leagues for the second half. The young southpaw will face the Dodgers next week on the road.

Joaquin Benoit notched a four-out save Friday against the Braves.

It was his second save of the season and his first since taking over the closer role from Huston Street, who was traded to the Angels last week. Benoit owns a quality 1.93 ERA and 49/13 K/BB ratio over 42 innings this season and is capable of being a valuable fantasy closer the rest of the way. Of course, that's assuming he doesn't end up in a set-up role elsewhere in advance of the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.
Jul 25 - 11:12 PM

Alexei Ramirez homered and scored three runs in helping to lead the White Sox to a decisive victory over the Twins in Minnesota on Friday.

He finished the night 2-for-5, with his solo blast coming off opposing starter Kevin Correia in the third inning. The All-Star shortstop has been one of the finest offensive weapons at the shortstop position this season, slashing .283/.321/.401 with nine homers, 44 RBI and 17 stolen bases.
Jul 25 - 11:12 PM

Tommy Medica went 4-for-5 with an RBI single in Friday's win over the Braves.

The four hits were a career-high. Medica has seven hits over the past two days, but he could move back into a reserve role with Yonder Alonso (wrist) nearing the end of a minor league rehab assignment.
Jul 25 - 11:11 PM

Chris Denorfia went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and two runs scored Friday against the Braves.

Even with the three-hit night, Denorfia is batting just .246/.298/.325 over 85 games this season. Still, he has a reputation for punishing left-handed pitching and has experience at all three outfield positions, so he should draw plenty of interest leading up to the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.
Jul 25 - 11:11 PM

Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in Friday's loss to the Padres.

Freeman had half of the Braves' hits on the night. The triple was his fourth of the season, which is more than the likes of Jose Reyes and Jacoby Ellsbury. The 24-year-old owns a .283/.373/.480 batting line on the year.
Jul 25 - 11:10 PM

John Danks picked up his ninth victory of the season on Friday, limiting the Twins to four runs on six hits over seven innings of work.

Danks punched out five on the night without walking a batter. Staked to a big early lead, Danks was in cruise control most of the night, throwing plenty of strikes and giving the White Sox bullpen a bit of a rest. He’ll bring a 4.40 ERA and 1.39 WHIP into Thursday’s matchup against the Tigers in Detroit.
