The Twins have promoted prospect right-hander Jose Berrios to Triple-A Rochester.

Berrios earned the promotion after posting a 3.08 ERA and 92/24 K/BB ratio in 90 2/3 innings across 15 starts with Double-A Chattanooga. The 21-year-old was ranked as the No. 36 prospect in the game by Baseball America coming into the season and he could be knocking on the door for his major league debut before long.

Kris Medlen (elbow) allowed two runs over 3 2/3 innings Monday in a minor league rehab start with Triple-A Omaha.

Medlen, who is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, gave up four hits (including two home runs) while walking none and striking out none. It was his first start in Triple-A after posting a 5.63 ERA and 7/2 K/BB ratio in eight innings over two outings with Double-A Northwest Arkansas. He's on track to join the Royals by mid-July, though it's unclear how he'll be used.

Jacoby Ellsbury (knee) went 0-for-3 with a strikeout Monday in his first minor league rehab game with High-A Tampa.

Ellsbury served as the DH on Monday, but he's expected to play center field on Tuesday. The tentative plan calls for him to be activated on Friday. Ellsbury has been sidelined since May 19 with a right knee sprain.

Lorenzo Cain (hamstring) went 0-for-4 with a strikeout Monday in his return to action against the Astros.

Cain didn't start Sunday due to a lingering hamstring issue, but he felt good enough to serve as the DH on Monday. He might not be completely out of the woods yet, but it's a good sign.
Jun 30 - 9:24 AM

Jenrry Mejia struck out two batters in a scoreless inning Monday with Triple-A Las Vegas.

It was his first appearance with Triple-A after making two scoreless outings with the Mets' Gulf Coast League affiliate. Mejia is eligible to return from his 80-game PED suspension on July 7. He's likely to set up for Jeurys Familia upon his return.

The Yankees have moved Adam Warren to the bullpen.

Warren is the odd-man out now that Ivan Nova is back from the disabled list. It's an expected move, though CC Sabathia is probably more deserving to lose his rotation spot. Warren has a solid 3.59 ERA and 54/26 K/BB ratio in 82 2/3 innings over 14 starts this season.
Jun 30 - 8:29 AM

Nathan Eovaldi will start Wednesday against the Angels.

In turn, Adam Warren will be moved to the bullpen. Eovaldi allowed two runs over six innings against the Astros in his last start and owns a 4.81 ERA and 60/22 K/BB ratio over 82 1/3 innings on the year.
Jun 30 - 8:26 AM

Allen Webster took a no-decision, giving up four runs in 3 2/3 innings, but the Diamondbacks still managed to pull out a 10-6 win against the Dodgers on Monday.

Webster allowed three solo home runs in the fourth inning, proving to be his undoing. Two were back-to-back shots by Andre Ethier and Yasmani Grandal. The third was a tape-measure shot by Joc Pederson. Following that, Webster issued a walk and a single before getting yanked. All told, he gave up five hits, walked four, and struck out three. In four starts, Webster has a 7.11 ERA with a 1.68 WHIP and a 12/14 K/BB ratio over 19 innings. He's due to start at home against the Rockies next.
