David Wright (shoulder, back) went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in his rehab debut Tuesday with High-A St. Lucie.

It was the first live game Wright had played at any level this season. "There's still quite a bit to go to where I want to be, but it was a good first step," he told reporters afterward. "[My back] felt pretty good. There are going to be some challenges ahead, I'm sure ... Certainly sooner rather than later I want to see some results, have some better at-bats. It's not going to come overnight." The veteran third baseman is aiming to join the Mets for the final few weeks of the 2017 regular season.

Hunter Pence (hamstring) is aiming to return to the Giants' lineup on Friday.

Pence was scratched from Tuesday's game against the Brewers due to tightness in his left hamstring, though he did draw a walk as a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the eighth inning. Pence will also be on the bench for Wednesday's series finale, giving him a nice break leading into Thursday's scheduled team off day. San Francisco opens a three-game weekend set in Arizona on Friday night.

Ben Revere was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rangers with a left knee contusion.

Revere fouled a ball off his knee a couple of innings before departing. It doesn't sound like a serious thing. The 29-year-old outfielder went 1-for-3 and stole his 20th base of the season in Tuesday's victory versus Texas, though he's still slashing just .255/.292/.327 in 87 games overall for Anaheim.

Mitch Moreland (neck) went 0-for-4 in his return to action Tuesday versus the Indians.

Moreland was a late scratch from Boston's starting lineup on Monday due to a stiff neck. He collided with Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner on Sunday but came away from it mostly unscathed.

Neil Walker went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored as the Brewers topped the Giants 4-3 on Tuesday night in San Francisco.

Walker has been on fire since joining the Brewers, hitting .444 (12-for-27) with a homer and five RBI in his first eight games. He could wind up being a critical cog for a team that's clawing for a postseason berth. With this victory, the Brewers are currently three games back of the second Wild Card spot in the National League.

Travis Shaw clubbed a go-ahead RBI double in the seventh inning on Tuesday as the Brewers rallied to beat the Giants.

He finished the night 1-for-5, but certainly made that one hit count. Shaw has been a steady and consistent run producer in the middle of the Brewers' lineup this season, slashing .285/.355/.544 with 27 long balls and 81 RBI.

Corey Knebel earned his 27th save of the season on Tuesday, working a scoreless ninth inning against the Giants to protect a one-run advantage.

Knebel allowed a leadoff single to Kelby Tomlinson, but he was cut down attempting to steal second base. He has been outstanding in the closer's role this season, compiling a 1.36 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 100/33 K/BB ratio in 59 2/3 innings.
Aug 23 - 1:41 AM

Jimmy Nelson wasn't at his best on Tuesday, giving up three runs on seven hits over five innings in a no-decision against the Giants.

Nelson also surrendered three free passes in the game, though he did strike out six. The Giants scratched out a run against him in the second inning, then added on with a two-run blast from Brandon Crawford in the fifth. He'll carry a 3.79 ERA and 1.28 WHIP into Sunday's tilt against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
