Santiago Casilla earned his 16th save of the year Sunday in the A's 3-2 win over the Mets.

Casilla gave up a one-out single to Wilmer Flores in the bottom of the ninth, but the veteran right-hander induced flyouts from Yoenis Cespedes and Travis d'Arnaud to seal the one-run victory for Oakland. Casilla has a 3.93 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 36 2/3 total frames this season.

Daniel Gossett held the Mets to two runs over six innings Sunday for his second win of the year.

Gossett gave up a home run to Michael Conforto in the bottom of the third inning, but it was a solid effort overall from the 24-year-old right-hander. He limited New York to five total hits and two walks while moving to 2-5 on the season with a 5.40 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in eight starts. A date with the Twins is next.

Khris Davis hit his 28th home run of the year Sunday in the Athletics' defeat of the Mets.

Davis put the A's up 2-1 with his solo blast in the top of the fourth inning and they went on to win the game 3-2. The 29-year-old outfielder also singled in the top of the ninth, finishing 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. He's batting .246/.335/.527 with 28 home runs and 68 RBI.

Michael Conforto went 2-for-4 with a homer Sunday in the Mets' loss to the Athletics.

Conforto did his part, slapping a leadoff single in the bottom of the first inning and a solo shot in the bottom of the third, but the Mets' offense managed just six hits in all. Conforto is now batting .294/.408/.581 with 19 home runs and 52 RBI in 80 games this season for New York.

Rafael Montero surrendered three runs over seven innings Sunday in a loss to the Athletics.

Montero gave up three solo home runs as the Mets fell 3-2 to the visiting A's. He's now 1-7 on the season with a 5.19 ERA, 1.73 WHIP, and 52/26 K/BB ratio in 52 innings. A road start against the Mariners comes next.

Nick Williams hit his fourth major league homer Sunday in the Phillies' 6-3 defeat of Milwaukee.

It was a two-run blast in the bottom of the fourth inning off Brewers starter Junior Guerra. Williams then tallied his third RBI of the afternoon on a force attempt in the bottom of the fifth. The talented 23-year-old outfielder has a stellar .309/.347/.603 batting line with 15 RBI over his first 19 games at baseball's highest level.

Jonathan Villar drove in two runs and stole his 19th base of the season on Sunday against the Phillies.

Villar's two-run single in the top of the fifth inning tied the game at 2-2, but Milwaukee went on to lose this one 6-3. The 26-year-old speedster is batting just .223/.285/.348 in 82 total games this season, after finishing with a .285/.369/.457 slash line and a league-leading 62 steals in 2016.

Jerad Eickhoff held the Brewers to two runs over six innings Sunday for his second win of the year.

Eickhoff was sharp in this one, yielding just three hits and two walks while striking out six Milwaukee batters. For the season, the 27-year-old right-hander stands 2-7 with a 4.71 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, and 87/37 K/BB ratio in 17 starts covering 93 2/3 innings.
