Coach Marvin Lewis said he expects A.J. Green (toe) to play in Sunday's game against the Titans.

Eric Decker did not even need an MRI on the hamstring he injured in the Week 2 loss at Green Bay.

It's pretty surprising considering this is an aggravation of the right hammy issue that bothered Decker during training camp. But no need for an MRI confirms that this is a very mild strain, one that he could very well play through on Monday night. We'll know more based on practice reports over the next three days.

Ryan Tannehill is blaming poor footwork for an inaccurate start to the season.

Even a lot Tannehill's completions haven't been in the ideal spot. Through two games, he ranks 29th in completion percentage (60.5) and 29th in passer rating (76.1). It's a troubling step back for a player that appeared poised to take the next step in his third NFL season. The good news is that footwork is correctable, and Tannehill gets to face a bad Chiefs secondary at home on Sunday. He's still firmly in the QB2 conversation.

Tony Romo (back) is fully expected to practice Thursday.

Romo sat out Wednesday's session due to "tightness" in his surgically-repaired back. He spent that time in the weight room doing core strength and back exercises, but did not even require an MRI. It's no reason for owners to panic.

Coach Lovie Smith said the Bucs are planning on using a committee at running back for Thursday night's game at Atlanta.

Doug Martin (knee) is expected to suit up, but Smith has declined to name a starter. Bobby Rainey piled up 174 total yards on 25 touches in the Week 2 loss to the Rams. "We want to play more than one running back, two, maybe three," Smith said. ESPN Bucs reporter Pat Yasinkas says that isn't coachspeak, insisting that Smith really is serious about a committee. We'd lean toward starting Martin as he got the first-team reps in practice, but Rainey is going to have a real role as well.

Coach Mike McCarthy said he regretted not getting Eddie Lacy more touches in the Week 2 win over the Jets.

Lacy got just three first-half carries as the Packers fell behind 21-3. And just like the Seahawks, the Jets chose to play with a single high safety for much of the game. That aggressive kind of scheme won't be a weekly occurrence though, as the vast majority of defensive coordinators will fear Aaron Rodgers and play coverage. Lacy has another difficult matchup in Week 3 against the Lions, but then the floodgates will open.

Packers OC Tom Clements brushed off a suggestion that the Packers are feeding Jordy Nelson too much.

Through two weeks, Nelson leads the NFL in targets with 30 -- 15 more than any other Packer. "I don't think we're relying too much on him," Clements said. "We still try to move the ball around, but Jordy is a top-notch receiver and we're going to try to get him the ball." The Packers realize they have one of the most versatile, talented players in the league at their disposal and aren't going to shy away from using him. Expect another monster game against the Lions Sunday.

Packers S Micah Hyde (knee) expects to play in Sunday's game against the Lions.

Hyde has been diagnosed with a bruise, meaning he just has to get the swelling down in order to suit up. Regardless, this Dom Capers defense is likely to get lit up by Matthew Stafford and the Lions. Vegas is projecting this game to have the most total points in Week 3 (53).
