Coach Mike D'Antoni called Lou Williams the seventh man in the rotation.

Interesting. Williams was carrying the Lakers' second unit with a 30.0 usage rate and also in the top 25 for unassisted baskets among the 170 players with at least 30 games and 24 minutes per outing. Williams is also a good catch-and-shoot guy at 39.6 percent on treys, so basically he can get his own shot and create his own. Plus, he's just behind fifth-ranked DeMarcus Cousins for fifth in free throws per 36 minutes to also be a great fit there. Williams' fantasy value will be taking a hit here, but he could still have some late-round appeal.

Darrell Arthur (illness) is questionable to play against the Kings on Thursday.

This isn't due to his arthritic knee issues, which will cause him to be managed throughout the season. If Arthur can't go, there could be a few extra minutes going to Juancho Hernangomez, especially if the Nuggets make trades at the deadline.

Danilo Gallinari (groin) is questionable to play against the Kings on Thursday.

He did go through some practice on Tuesday, so he's coming along from what looked like a scary injury earlier this month. Of course, there is a chance that Gallinari is on another team before Thursday's game. The sense around reporters is that the Nuggets will be dealing either Gallo or Wilson Chandler. A trade would likely hurt Gallo's fantasy value.

Kenneth Faried (ankle) is doubtful for Thursday night against the Kings.

He has been out since Feb. 8 due to his ankle injury, but Faried did go through some practice on Tuesday. The Nuggets did practice on Wednesday, so we'll be looking out for any reports on his status for that one. If he can't go, we should see a decent amount of Juancho Hernangomez and maybe a little more Mason Plumlee at the four.

Coach David Fizdale said the team will take "baby steps" with Chandler Parsons going forward.

While he did sit in a non-back-to-back game on Feb. 10, Parsons' minutes have been trending up with 23.0 minutes per game in February. Fizdale said he's seen Parsons get stronger, have more confidence, and could see him playing consistent minutes. The coach said the goal is to get him ready to roll for the playoffs and he will still have a minutes restriction. Parsons is just not worth owning in most leagues.

Emmanuel Mudiay (back) will be moving to the bench going forward and is questionable to play against the Kings on Thursday.

Maybe it's because of his bad back, but Mudiay has really struggled in 2017. In fact, he made just 32.7 percent from the field in 2017 with averages of 8.3 points, 2.3 boards, 5.3 assists, 1.8 turnovers and 0.8 treys. He's still a serious project right now and just doesn't have the game to have fantasy value in standard-style leagues.

Chris Paul (thumb) has been cleared to play and could play Thursday against the Warriors.

It would appear he's almost certainly going to beat his target of early March. Coach Doc Rivers said Paul looked good in practice, but the team has yet to decide for sure on CP3's status in the "Cool Story, Glen" game to start the second half. CP3's return means Jamal Crawford, Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers will all be taking massive hits and are drop candidates. Blake Griffin has also busted loose as a passer with 7.8 assists per game over his last five, so that stat will be dropping, as well.
Feb 22 - 3:05 PM

Coach Mike Malone said Jameer Nelson will be the starting point guard going forward.

With the Nuggets going for the eighth seed, this move makes a lot of sense. Since taking over as the starter last month due to some injuries to Mudiay, Nelson has gone 7-7, averaging 11.0 points, 3.5 boards, 6.3 assists, 1.6 turnovers, 1.7 treys and 0.5 steals in 30.7 minutes per game. That has given him low-end value in standard leagues and is also a fair expectation going forward. Plus, he's been hot lately, so he should be owned in most formats.
