Troy Tulowitzki (hamstring) will travel to the Blue Jays' spring training complex on Sunday to resume hitting.
He shouldn't be too far off from game action. Tulowitzki was placed on the disabled list last weekend with a strained right hamstring.
Josh Donaldson (calf) will travel to the Blue Jays' spring training complex on Sunday to resume hitting.
It's the next step in the progression as he works his way back from a strained right calf. He's two weeks into a projected 2-4 week timetable, so it shouldn't be too long before Donaldson tests things out in game action.
Miguel Cabrera (groin) ran and took batting practice Friday.
Barring a setback, Cabrera should be good to go on Tuesday when he's first eligible. It's just the second time in his career that the slugger has been on the disabled list.
A.J. Griffin (gout) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.
He should need just the one outing before rejoining the Rangers' rotation. Nick Martinez is drawing another start in Griffin's place Friday.
Jose Altuve (head, shoulder) is back in the Astros' lineup.
Altuve missed two starts following Tuesday's collision with Teoscar Hernandez, but he had a pinch-hit single Thursday and is back in there at second base and in the No. 3 hole Friday. He's hitting .321/.393/.449 on the season.
George Springer (hamstring) is back in the Astros' lineup Friday.
Jose Altuve (head, shoulder) is back in there, as well, as the Astros are at full strength versus Jharel Cotton and the A's. Evan Gattis is catching over Brian McCann in this one.
Noah Syndergaard (biceps) is expected to start Sunday versus the Nationals after getting through a throwing session Friday with no issues.
"My arm feels great," Syndergaard said Friday. "I should have thrown yesterday." Syndergaard's fantasy owners were worried after he had to be scratched from Thursday's start due to biceps tendinitis, and especially after he admitted that it was hard for him to lift his arm above his shoulder. However, he's apparently made a quick recovery. The Mets won't officially clear him for Sunday until they see how he feels Saturday. Sean Gilmartin is on standby just in case.
Dodgers signed INF/OF Max Muncy to a minor league contract.
Muncy was removed from the A's 40-man roster over the winter and evidently must have been released by them subsequently. He'll provide depth for the Dodgers at a few positions.
