According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, MLB executives are "absolutely convinced" that Tigers lefty David Price is going to wind up with the Dodgers.

Nightengale suspects that Los Angeles will fork over top pitching prospect Julio Urias to get it done. Price is also drawing heavy interest from the Yankees, Giants, and Blue Jays, but the Dodgers have the young talent to beat all the other suitors. And they'll be a good bet to lock Price up long term once they have him in their grasp.

Indians acquired LHP Rob Kaminsky from the Cardinals for 1B/OF Brandon Moss.

Kaminsky was the 28th overall pick in the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft and has registered a promising 2.09 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 79/28 K/BB ratio over 94 2/3 innings (17 starts) this season in High-A ball. The 20-year-old left-hander still has a long way to go before he can be considered MLB-ready, but it's a nice get for the Indians given Moss' recent offensive struggles.

Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Cardinals have acquired Brandon Moss from the Indians for pitching prospect Rob Kaminsky.

Moss fits the Cardinals' need for both a first baseman and corner outfielder, but it comes at a steep price. Kaminsky, the 28th overall pick in the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft, boasts a 2.15 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 186/68 K/BB ratio in 217 1/3 career minor league innings. The 20-year-old left-hander is currently in High-A ball. Moss, meanwhile, has struggled offensively since undergoing hip surgery in 2014.

Scott Van Slyke (neck) drew a walk and scored a run in the later innings of Wednesday's game.

Van Slyke hasn't started a game since hurting his neck in a cab ride on Saturday in New York. But it's not a major issue. He should be available for any role Friday after Thursday's scheduled team off-day.

Starling Marte finished 1-for-4 with an RBI, a stolen base, and a run scored on Wednesday night.

The steal was his 20th of the season. Marte had to be scratched from the Pirates' starting lineup on Tuesday due to a stomach ache, but he's obviously just fine.

Jose Bautista (hamstring) went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored on Wednesday night.

Bautista made an early exit from Tuesday's game against the Phillies with a right hamstring injury, but it was only a cramp. The 34-year-old is batting .233/.367/.491 with 21 home runs and 67 RBI in 95 games this season.

According to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, the Cardinals are talking to the Indians about Brandon Moss.

Moss can play both first base and corner outfield, which fits the Cardinals' immediate need now that Matt Holliday is headed back to the disabled list with a re-strain of his right quad. Moss has struggled in his first season with the Indians, but the 31-year-old registered an .844 OPS (135 OPS+) for the A's between 2012-2014. Cotillo says there's been talk of a one-for-one swap of Moss and Cardinals pitching prospect Rob Kaminsky.

Red Sox manager John Farrell acknowledged Wednesday that Pablo Sandoval's weight is an issue.

It's the first time Farrell has addressed this topic since spring training, when he was in full support of Boston's new acquisition. The burly third baseman got thrown out at home on a ball he should have scored on Wednesday night against the White Sox and had to be lifted from the game two innings later due to dehydration. "There are ongoing efforts to support that, to try to get him in the best shape possible," said Farrell. "That's something Pablo has dealt with his entire career. It continues to be addressed."
