Falcons FS Ricardo Allen is in the concussion protocol.

Allen is week to week. He's 50-50 to get cleared for Sunday's game against the Bills. Fifth-round rookie Damontae Kazee appears to be the Falcons' No. 3 safety.

Julio Jones is dealing with a lower-back injury, and will be limited in practice this week.

Jones picked up the injury at some point in Sunday's narrow win over the Lions. Coach Dan Quinn didn't seem concerned about Jones' Week 4 status, but it's obviously something to monitory. Jones could be "DNP" on Wednesday.

Jordan Howard (shoulder) is absent from the Bears' Week 4 injury report.

It's a major surprise given the way Howard was favoring his shoulder on Sunday. Either way, Howard produced like he was at full health against the Steelers, and will be needed for a major workload in Thursday's game against the Packers. There's still volatility here — the Bears' offense is a weekly threat to go off the rails, and Tarik Cohen should remain the preferred passing-down back — but Howard has re-established himself in the top 20.

Giants RE Olivier Vernon is dealing with an ankle injury.

"It’s still early in the week," coach Ben McAdoo said Monday. "We have to see how he responds to treatment." Vernon missed 17 snaps against the Eagles. Vernon hasn't become a transcendent superstar since signing his five-year, $85 million contract, but has certainly been a major asset for the G-Men. He would be a big loss for Week 4 against the Bucs.

Samaje Perine has been diagnosed with a bruised hand, and is day to day.

Perine's injury looked fairly ugly, so it's great news. As was the case in Week 2, Perine was struggling to generate yards before going down. If Rob Kelley (ribs) is healthy for Week 4, Perine will return to a reserve role.

An MRI revealed no structural damage to Kelvin Benjamin's left knee, but his Week 4 status is unclear.

Coach Ron Rivera didn't have much of an update beyond Benjamin's MRI news. We would consider him genuinely questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. A limited practice on Wednesday would be a great sign.

Bears S Quintin Demps has been diagnosed with a broken left arm, and is out indefinitely.

Demps should be a candidate for injured reserve. Demps had a strong 2016, but hasn't traditionally been an impact player. Adrian Amos will slide in opposite rookie Eddie Jackson.

Bucs WLB Lavonte David has been officially diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain.

David's initial X-rays were negative, but an MRI revealed the sprain. David was carted off the field against the Vikings. NFL.com reports he is expected to miss "a month or more." David was off to a hot start for a Bucs defense dealing with a number of injuries.
