Chase Daniel completed 16-of-27 passes for 291 yards in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Chargers.

Daniel completed his first nine passes and had a touchdown overturned on a Dwayne Bowe fumble. He wasn't asked to do much, but managed the game effectively. Daniel is under contract for $3.75 million next season and should return as Alex Smith's backup.

Jackie Battle rushed one time for zero yards in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Colts.

Battle couldn't crack a Titans running back depth chart that consisted of Bishop Sankey, Shonn Greene, Dexter McCluster and Leon Washington. He heads to free agency with with five carries for nine yards and one touchdown on his 2014 resume.

Andre Johnson caught 10-of-15 targets for 134 yards and one touchdown in the Texans' Week 17 win over the Jaguars.

Dec 28 - 4:54 PM

Jonathan Grimes rushed for 45 yards on 11 carries in the Texans' Week 17 win over the Jaguars, adding two catches for 23 yards.

He saw more work than normal with Arian Foster leaving the game in the first quarter with a knee injury. Operating as the Texans' No. 3 back for most of the season, Grimes rushed for 153 yards on 39 carries. He caught six passes for 86 yards. Grimes is a talented 25-year-old who's under contract through next season at the minimum. He'll be back to compete for a backup job.

Charles Johnson secured 2-of-4 targets for 22 yards in the Vikings' Week 17 win over the Bears.

He also lost 11 yards on a rushing attempt. It was a quiet end to an otherwise impressive season from the breakout second-year wideout. Johnson emerged as the Vikings' No. 1 receiver, tallying a 31-475-2 line despite starting only six games. Turning 26 in February, Johnson is a building block for Minnesota. He is sure to be the subject of plenty of offseason hype as a full-on 2015 fantasy breakout pick. Johnson's Dynasty owners should be smiling widely.
Dec 28 - 4:53 PM

Robert Griffin III completed 27-of-41 passes for 336 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Washington's 44-17, Week 17 loss to the Cowboys.

He added six carries for 19 yards and a second touchdown, but also lost a fumble which Cowboys DE Anthony Spencer housed for a score. Both of RGIII's picks were tossed into too tight of coverage, while his fumble came on a play where he should have gone down earlier. He never got in rhythm as a passer, with big chunks of his yardage coming after the catch from DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon. Griffin closes the book on 2014 having committed eight turnovers while accounting for just five touchdowns. He's not a fit for coach Jay Gruden's conservative, pass-happy offense, and Gruden doesn't appear particularly interested in making him one. It will be a disaster waiting to happen if RGIII is back as Washington's starter in 2015. A trade would be best for his fantasy future, but clueless owner Daniel Snyder likely won't be willing to sell low on someone he believes is his franchise player.
Dec 28 - 4:52 PM

Greg Jennings secured 3-of-5 targets for 45 yards in the Vikings' Week 17 win over the Bears.

The stat line was uninspiring, but Jennings contributed big catches as the Vikings' offense moved the ball with relative ease against the Bears' sieve-ish defense. He had an early touchdown overturned on replay. 31 years old, Jennings finishes his second season as a Viking with 59 catches for 742 yards and six touchdowns. At this stage of his career, Jennings is a lower-end No. 2 receiver but would be an excellent No. 3. His 2015 base salary is a whopping $8.9 million, however, none of which is guaranteed. It's fair to wonder if GM Rick Spielman will approach Jennings about an offseason pay cut. If Jennings returns to Minnesota, he'll probably be best viewed as a low-ceiling WR4.
Dec 28 - 4:48 PM

Connor Shaw completed 14-of-28 passes for 177 yards Week 17 against the Ravens.

Shaw played well in stretches of this game, but looked overmatched and overwhelmed as he tried to bring the Browns back late in the fourth quarter. Shaw showed enough to earn a look as the Browns' backup quarterback in 2015, but he is clearly not the long-term answer for a team that is a quarterback away from being a playoff contender. With Brian Hoyer set to leave in free agency and Johnny Manziel unable to stay out of trouble off the field, there is a real chance the Browns' 2015 starting quarterback is not yet on the roster.
