Todd Frazier went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's win over the Twins.

Frazier followed up a two-run homer by Jose Abreu with a two-run tater of his own against Nik Turley in the first inning of the White Sox's breezy 9-0 win. The veteran slugger is hitting an underwhelming .210/.315/.420 with 12 homers and 35 RBI for the season as a whole.

Jose Abreu went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Thursday's win over the Twins.

Abreu connected for a two-run shot off Nik Turley in what would eventually evolve into a five-run first inning by the White Sox. The dinger was his 13th of the season and bumped his RBI total up to 47 in 280 at-bats. He has been swinging a hot power stick of late, having bopped three homers in his last five games.

Miguel Sano went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Thursday's loss to the White Sox.

Sano and Chris Gimenez each fanned three times in the shutout loss. For his part, Sano is working to a .285/.382/.562 triple-slash overall, which he pairs with 18 homers and 52 RBI. While the production has been fantastic, it comes with its fair share of swings/misses -- Sano has whiffed 97 times in 238 at-bats.

Joe Mauer went 2-for-3 in Thursday's loss to the White Sox.

The Twins were unable to come up with an extra-base hit in the 9-0 loss. With his two singles, Mauer is now hitting .281/.352/.395 with four homers and 29 RBI in 61 games this season.

Corey Seager is not in the Dodgers' lineup Thursday against the Mets.

The Dodgers are going with a mostly right-handed lineup (Cody Bellinger is the one exception) against Mets lefty Steven Matz. Chris Taylor will fill in at shortstop and bat second for the Dodgers. Seager enjoyed his second career three-homer game on Tuesday night.

Jose Quintana pitched a sharp game in Thursday's 9-0 win over the Twins, firing off 6 2/3 innings of scoreless ball.

Quintana scattered five hits while striking out nine. He did not walk a batter over his strong 6 2/3 innings of work. The 28-year-old southpaw threw 119 pitches (69 strikes) in the outing. After a slow start to the season, Quintana has limited the opposition to two or fewer runs in three of his last four starts, lowering his ERA from 5.30 to 4.69 in that space. A home start against the Yankees shows next on his schedule.

Zach Britton (forearm) threw a scoreless inning Thursday in a rehab appearance for Low-A Delmarva.

He finished with two strikeouts while throwing 11 of his 16 pitches for strikes. Britton's fastball ranged from 91-95 mph. The All-Star closer should return as soon as he's eligible on July 4.

Nik Turley was blasted for five runs on six hits in just 2/3 of an inning in Thursday's loss to the White Sox.

Turley was out of this one before it even really got started, with the loudest blows in a five-run first coming on two-run home runs to Jose Abreu and Todd Frazier. The 27-year-old southpaw has surrendered 13 runs on 15 hits in just 5 1/3 innings in two starts since the Twins purchased his contract from Triple-A Rochester on June 11. He may well be heading back to Rochester following this most recent debacle.
