Randal Grichuk crushed a mammoth solo home run in his return to the Cardinals' lineup on Sunday.

Grichuk was recalled from Triple-A on Sunday after smashing six home runs in his last 10 games for Memphis. He carried that power stroke into Sunday's game, tattooing a Chad Kuhl offering over 470 feet to lead off the sixth inning. Grichuk finished the night 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and is now slashing .227/.280/.395 with five homers and 20 RBI on the season.

Greg Garcia went 1-for-2 and drove home a pair of runs on Sunday as the Cardinals came from behind to beat the Pirates.

Garcia got the start at third base in this one and got the Cardinals on the board with a two-run single off of Chad Kuhl in the second inning. It has been a rough go of it at the plate this season for Garcia, slashing .204/.328/.272 with one homer and five RBI.

Mike Leake logged a quality start in Sunday's no-decision against the Pirates, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits over six frames.

Leake struck out two and walked two in the contest. The Pirates touched him up for three runs in the third inning and added another in the fourth, but Leake was able to keep the train on the tracks and fire another pair of scoreless innings before departing. While his performance has slid a bid recently, he still sports a terrific 3.12 ERA and 1.09 WHIP on the season. He'll do battle against the Nationals his next time out at home on Friday.

Adam Frazier went 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBI as the Pirates fell to the Cardinals on Sunday night.

Frazier's two-run triple got the Pirates on the board in the third inning and tied the game at 2-2. He continues to excel atop the Bucs' lineup, slashing .285/.360/.400 with three homers, 28 RBI and five stolen bases.

Chad Kuhl struggled in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits over his five-plus innings of work.

The right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the night while walking one. He carried a 4-2 lead into the sixth inning where Randal Grichuk greeted him with a solo homer and Kuhl allowed a double to Yadier Molina before departing. He'll carry an unimpressive 5.58 ERA and 1.57 WHIP into Saturday's start against the Giants.

Aaron Hicks (oblique) will be placed on the disabled list on Monday and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

Hicks sustained the oblique injury during Sunday's game against the Rangers. No word yet on what the corresponding move will be, but there's a chance that Jacoby Ellsbury will be activated from the disabled list.

The Cubs are expected to recall Jeimer Candelario on Monday.

No word yet on what the corresponding move would be, but the Cubs need another healthy body in the infield with Addison Russell banged up. His stay with the big league club should only last a couple of days.

Cody Bellinger went 3-for-5 with a pair of two-run home runs and four total RBI in Sunday's 12-6 win over the Rockies.

The Rockies worked their way out to a 5-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third before the Dodgers made their offensive presence felt against Tyler Anderson. Following a two-run home run by Kike Hernandez, Bellinger crunched a two-run shot of his own to draw the team to within 5-4. They would keep that offensive momentum going as the game progressed, with Bellinger coming through for yet another two-run shot in the eighth inning. The young phenom is hitting a sparkling .274/.342/.679 with 24 homers and 55 RBI in just 57 games played. He has 11 extra-base hits (including six home runs) in his last nine games.
