Matt Moore allowed seven runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Moore served up a couple homers along with walking three batters on the night. The start was his worst of 2016, leaving him with a 4.95 ERA and 1.21 WHIP through six starts on the year. What's more, he's now lost three straight starts. He'll look to get back in the win column Monday at the Mariners.
May 3 - 10:24 PM

Scott Kazmir struck out nine while allowing four runs over 6 2/3 innings of work in Tuesday's win over the Rays.

Kazmir was dominant at times but also allowed two home runs among his seven hits allowed. He's had those types of games this year -- he's allowed two or more homers in three of his six starts -- but he was good enough Tuesday to also take home his second win. The southpaw stands at 2-2 with a 5.68 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 30/8 K/BB ratio over 31 2/3 innings to date. He'll square off with the Mets on Monday.
May 3 - 10:24 PM

Arodys Vizcaino nailed down his third save of the season with a perfect ninth inning in Tuesday's win over the Mets.

On to protect a three-run lead, Vizcaino got a strikeout of Curtis Granderson and then a groundout and flyout to end it. Vizcaino has received just four save chances and blown one of them, but he's also allowed just one earned run over 10 1/3 innings.
May 3 - 10:22 PM

Matt Harvey was charged with three runs over 5 2/3 frames in Tuesday's loss to the Braves.

Harvey failed to hold down the Braves' weak offense, surrendering eight hits -- including Mallex Smith's first major league homer -- while walking two and striking out just four. The right-hander still hasn't gone more than six innings this season, and only two of his six starts have been of the "quality" variety. He also has a disappointing 25/11 K/BB ratio over 34 innings. Harvey will at least get the Padres in San Diego this weekend as he tries to get on track.
May 3 - 10:18 PM

Mark Trumbo homered twice Tuesday in the Orioles' 4-1 defeat of the Yankees.

Trumbo got to Yankees starter Luis Severino for a solo shot in the second inning and a two-run shot in the fifth, finishing the night 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI. The 30-year-old slugger has been one of the most productive hitters in baseball through the first month of 2016, boasting a .337/.381/.612 slash line, eight home runs, and 22 RBI in 25 games. Some regression is undoubtedly coming, but Camden Yards is a pretty ideal fit for a guy of Trumbo's skillset.
May 3 - 10:15 PM

Darren O'Day picked up a save Tuesday in the Orioles' win over the Yankees.

O'Day got the call in the ninth with Zach Britton nursing an ankle injury and worked around a Carlos Beltran leadoff single to net his second save of the season. O'Day's other save was on April 7 against the Twins, with Britton getting a routine day off. Britton isn't expected to be out much longer, so there's no reason to go nuts for O'Day in a non-holds league. He is a truly excellent setup man, though.
May 3 - 10:10 PM

Mallex Smith ripped his first major league homer in Tuesday's win over the Mets.

Smith's drive to the opposite field off Matt Harvey in the fifth inning was initially ruled a triple, but a review resulted in the youngter's first homer. The speedster also had a single and a stolen base and now has eight hits over his last three games. Ender Inciarte (hamstring) is due back soon, but the Braves may be forced to keep carrying Smith if he continues to hit.
May 3 - 10:10 PM

Chris Tillman fired seven innings of one-run ball in the Orioles' defeat of the Yankees on Tuesday.

Tillman gave up five hits and walked four, but he worked out of some tight situations with a total of nine strikeouts and five groundouts. The right-hander has a shiny 2.81 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 33/12 K/BB ratio in 32 innings (six starts) this season for the O's. He'll look to keep it all working next time out against the A's.
