Rangers optioned INF/OF Drew Robinson to Triple-A Round Rock.

He's clearing room for Adrian Beltre's return. Robinson was just called up Sunday.
May 29 - 6:36 PM

Rangers activated 3B Adrian Beltre from the 10-day disabled list.

He'll make his season debut Monday after missing almost a full two months with a strained right calf. Beltre originally suffered the injury back in mid-February and then aggravated it in March.

Mike Trout will not play Monday, but the Angels are still awaiting MRI results on his left thumb.

They seemed to tip their hand with Eric Young spotted in the clubhouse, but nothing is official in regards to the extent of Trout's injury yet. Obviously, more news on Trout will be available soon.
May 29 - 6:32 PM

David Robertson struck out a pair over a scoreless inning to notch his eighth save of the season in Monday's win over the Red Sox.

Tasked with protecting a one-run lead, Robertson knifed through Christian Vazquez, Jackie Bradley and Sandy Leon on 14 pitches with a strikeout, groundout and another strikeout. Robertson has been excellent this season with a 2.29 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 28/6 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings. He'll likely be closing for a contender come August.
May 29 - 6:21 PM

Melky Cabrera's bat stayed red-hot Monday, as he ripped a three-run homer and had an RBI single in a win over the Red Sox.

David Price got through his first two innings of 2017 in scoreless fashion, but he issued a pair of one-out walks in the third and Cabrera made him pay with a blast over the left field wall. Cabrera then plated the winning run in the seventh inning with an infield single. The veteran outfielder got off to a rotten start this season but is now batting .327 with four dingers and 14 RBI over his last 13 games.

Carlos Beltran slugged a three-run homer in an 11-run eighth inning as the Astros came back to beat the Twins 16-8 on Monday.

Ouch. The Astros entered the eighth inning down 8-2 before going off on the Twins' bullpen. Josh Reddick delivered the go-ahead hit in the frame, but Beltran provided the exclamation point with a three-run blast off Matt Belisle. It was the 427th home run of his career, which ties him with Mike Piazza for 49th all-time. The 40-year-old Beltran went 4-for-5 with a walk on the day and is batting .253/.301/.424 with six home runs and 18 RBI through 45 games this season.
May 29 - 6:15 PM

Brad Peacock was charged with four runs over 4 2/3 innings in Monday’s start against the Twins.

Peacock struck out eight and walked just one. The outing was better than it looked, as Peacock held the Twins scoreless through the first four innings before he unraveled in the fifth. The final two runs on his ledger scored after he was pulled from the game. Peacock is still in the process of getting stretched out, so we’re expecting better things moving forward. Stick with him in deeper fantasy formats.
May 29 - 6:13 PM

Ervin Santana yielded two runs (one earned) over seven innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Monday.

Both runs scored in the fourth inning, but Santana left in position for the win after the Twins scored seven runs in the fifth inning. The Astros countered with an 11-run eighth inning to leave him with the no-decision. Santana gave up five hits (including a solo homer to Carlos Correa) and walked a pair while striking out six. While he didn’t get the win, he still leads the majors with a 1.78 ERA.
