Austin Rivers vanished during Sunday's game, scoring just five points on 2-of-8 shooting with one rebound, one assist and zero defensive stats in 20 minutes.

Rivers came in hot and foul trouble played a role tonight, so most owners should cut him some slack. He hadn't played fewer than 26 minutes in a game since Dec. 30, but owners obviously shouldn't expect the lofty playing time he got while Chris Paul was injured. Rivers in a low-end hold in most situations.

Jeremy Lamb stepped up in 37 bench minutes on Sunday, scoring 19 points with six rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in a road loss vs. the Clippers.

Lamb made 5-of-10 field goals and 8-of-8 free throws for his second-highest scoring game of the season, and his contributions were critical in taking pressure off Kemba Walker and Nic Batum. The fifth-year swingman has found a solid niche off Charlotte's bench the past two seasons, but he doesn't typically do enough for standard-league ownership.
Feb 27 - 12:49 AM

Frank Kaminsky fouled out of Sunday's game after scoring 16 points with five rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes.

Kaminksy made 5-of-13 field goals with one 3-pointer, while going 5-of-5 at the free throw line. Injuries to Miles Plumlee (calf) and Cody Zeller (quad) have thrust him into a huge role and he's responded well, but the Hornets simply don't have any depth at center. He had a rough time corralling the Clippers' explosive frontcourt tonight. Owners should keep deploying him until his role changes.
Feb 27 - 12:48 AM

Nicolas Batum set a new season high with eight 3-pointers on Sunday, finishing with 31 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one block in 43 minutes.

The Clippers have held opponents to 9.0 threes per game this season, sixth-fewest in the league, which makes Batum's eruption surprising. The fact that all eight of his threes came in the second half and overtime makes it surreal, as he helped the Hornets stay in this game until the bitter end of OT. The veteran has consistently flirted with top-40 value in roto leagues this season.
Feb 27 - 12:42 AM

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was limited by foul trouble on Sunday, fouling out with just two points on 1-of-3 shooting, six rebounds, two assists and one steal.

The Hornets blew up in the third quarter with an 18-1 run to erase a 17-point deficit, but MKG didn't contribute much to the run. He was out-of-position much of the game defensively, due to Charlotte's lack of frontcourt depth, which is part of the reason he picked up so many fouls. Expect much better vs. the Lakers on Tuesday.
Feb 27 - 12:42 AM

Kemba Walker carried the Hornets on Sunday with 34 points, six 3-pointers, two rebounds, two assists and one steal in a tough road loss vs. the Clippers.

Kemba has never beaten the Clippers in his career, now sporting an unenviable 0-10 record. He forced overtime with a clutch 3-pointer, followed by a pair of free throws, to quickly erase a five-point deficit with under 30 seconds left. His undermanned team didn't have enough in the bonus frame, however, and the struggling Hornets are now 2.5 games out of the No. 8 seed.
Feb 27 - 12:41 AM

The two crowns that were knocked out of Jusuf Nurkic's mouth on Sunday have been repaired.

Nurk didn't even leave the game after losing his two teeth, so it's safe to assume that he'll be in the starting lineup on Tuesday. We'll leave him on the injury report, to be safe, but there's no real ambiguity here.
Feb 26 - 11:19 PM

Ish Smith finished with two points, four rebounds and three assists with a blocked shot and zero turnovers in 14 minutes on Sunday.

Smith has a 3.54 assists-turnovers ratio which is the best for the Pistons since Chauncey Billups (3.59, 2006-07). While he is doing good things with the ball, he remains behind Reggie Jackson on the depth chart. Unless Stan Van Gundy has a change of heart and decides to mix up the lineup, Smith's fantasy ceiling remains rather limited.
