Aaron Judge slugged his MLB-leading 17th homer in Monday’s loss to the Orioles.

It was a solo shot off Dylan Bundy in the seventh inning. Orioles fans have probably had just about enough of Judge, as he now has five homers in seven games against the club this season. Judge is batting .321/.421/.691 through 46 games.

Jeff Locke is scheduled to make his Marlins debut on Thursday versus the Diamondbacks.

Vance Worley will head to the Marlins' bullpen. Locke got a late start to the season due to biceps tendinitis, but he's posted a 1.77 ERA and 22/2 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 frames across four rehab starts. The veteran left-hander holds a 4.90 ERA over his last two seasons in the majors and isn't a very appealing fantasy option.

Chris Carter went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts against the Orioles on Monday.

The struggles continue for Carter. He’s hitless over his last five games and now owns a miserable .188/.288/.347 batting line through 36 games. Greg Bird (ankle) is nearing a minor league rehab assignment and could be ready to take back first base duties soon.

Royals pitching prospect Eric Skoglund will make his major league debut on Tuesday against the Tigers.

A third-round pick in the 2014 Draft, Skoglund has posted a 4.53 ERA but a 40/10 K/BB ratio over 43 2/3 innings this season at Triple-A Omaha. The 6-foot-7 left-hander was ranked by MLB.com as the Royals' No. 3 prospect coming into the season. With Danny Duffy (oblique) sidelined for a while, Skoglund has a shot to stick around if he pitches well.
May 29 - 4:17 PM

Danny Duffy is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a Grade 1-plus strain of his oblique.

Brutal news for the Royals. Duffy was knocked around for six runs over just four innings in Sunday's loss to the Indians and now figures to be sidelined through mid-to-late July. The Royals appear to be obvious sellers and could look a lot different by the time he returns.

Michael Conforto is back in the Mets' starting lineup Monday against the Brewers.

Conforto was given the day off on Sunday, but he's back in the leadoff spot for Monday's game. The 24-year-old has been one of the game's best hitters so far, batting .322/.416/.658 with 13 home runs and 32 RBI through 45 games.

Hisashi Iwakuma (shoulder) might not throw off a mound for a few more days.

Iwakuma threw a bullpen session Saturday for the first time since hitting the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, but he's not progressing as quickly as teammate Felix Hernandez. At this rate, a return by the end of June might be the best-case scenario. He still has plenty of hurdles to cross in his recovery.
May 29 - 3:22 PM

Robert Gsellman is expected to move to the bullpen when Steven Matz and Seth Lugo return from the disabled list.

Of course, that's assuming all goes well as Matz and Lugo continue their respective minor league rehab assignments. Big things were expected from Gsellman coming into the year, but he has struggled with a 6.45 ERA over eight starts and three relief appearances. The Mets could use some help out of the bullpen, so perhaps Gsellman will find his niche in that capacity.
