Antonio Senzatela will return to the Rockies' rotation Wednesday against the Royals.

Senzatela has spent most of the last two months see-sawing between the bullpen and the Rockies' starting rotation. It's anyone's guess how long he'll last this time, though he gets a favorable matchup against the slumping Royals, who have lost six of their last 17 since August 1.

Rangers placed Carlos Gomez on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder injury.

The move was made retroactive to August 16. Gomez had a cyst removed from his right shoulder and is still recovering. Utility man Phil Gosselin was called up to take his roster spot. It should be a minimum DL stint for Gomez, who has hit .251 with 15 homers, 42 RBI and 11 steals this season.

Royals recalled LHP Eric Skoglund from Triple-A Omaha.

He's filling the roster spot left by Neftali Feliz, who was placed on the disabled list with right hand numbness. Skoglund struggled during his first stint in the big leagues, producing an ugly 5.59 ERA over three starts earlier this year. He'll likely be used in a long relief role.
