Yolmer Sanchez went 3-for-4 and drove in the go-ahead run on Tuesday as the White Sox battled back to beat the Orioles 3-2.

The White Sox had been shut out through the first seven innings, primarily by Kevin Gausman. Their bats certainly woke up in the eighth though, with Sanchez's run-scoring single putting them ahead to stay. With the three-hit attack, Sanchez is now hitting .288/.322/.423 with two homers, 21 RBI and three stolen bases on the year. He's a worthwhile middle infield option in AL-only leagues and may deserve consideration in deeper mixed leagues as well.

Welington Castillo went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI as the White Sox raliied to beat the Orioles on Tuesday night.

Castillo's RBI single got the White Sox on the board in the eighth inning after Daniel Palka's leadoff triple. The veteran backstop continues to be one of the best offensive options in the league at his position, slashing a healthy .270/.314/.477 with six homers and 15 RBI in his first 118 plate appearances.

Nate Jones locked down his fourth save of the season on Tuesday, striking out a pair while protecting a one-run lead in a scoreless ninth inning against the Orioles.

Jones made things interesting in this one, allowing a leadoff walk to Chris Davis and a one-out single to Mark Trumbo, but Jones stepped up and got Jace Peterson on a line drive and Chance Sisco on strikes to end the proceedings. He looks to be the best bet for save chances in the White Sox' bullpen at the moment and should be owned and started in nearly all mixed leagues at this point.

James Shields logged a quality start in a no-decision against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits over seven strong innings.

The veteran-right hander struck out five on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. All of the damage against him came in the second inning, where Mark Trumbo delivered a run-scoring double and Jace Peterson followed with an RBI ground out. The 36-year-old still sits at 1-4 on the season with a 4.62 ERA and 1.27 WHIP through 62 1/3 innings in his 10 starts. He does draw an intriguing matchup his next time out, taking on the Tigers in Detroit on Sunday. In deeper leagues, he could be worth a shot as as streaming option against a depleted Tigers' lineup.

Mark Trumbo went 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI on Tuesday as the Orioles fell to the White Sox.

Unlike the rest of his teammates, Trumbo had no trouble figuring out James Shields in this one, collecting four of his team's seven total hits in the game. His RBI double got the O's on the board as part of a two-run second inning. Trumbo is now hitting .309/.317/.469 with two homers and eight RBI in his first 82 plate appearances on the season. Fantasy owners should be patient here, the power will come.

Kevin Gausman delivered a dominant performance in a no-decision against the White Sox on Tuesday, matching his career high with 10 strikeouts over 6 1/3 scoreless innings.

The 27-year-old hurler scattered nine hits and a walk, throwing 76 of his 106 pitches for strikes in the ballgame. The White Sox had at least one hitter reach against him in every inning except the fourth, but Gausman was able to make key pitches when he needed to the most. He has proven to be a useful mixed league commodity, registering a 3.48 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 58/15 K/BB ratio over his 62 innings. He'll look to carry over the momentum from this terrific outing when he takes on the Rays in Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Colin Moran ripped a solo home run Tuesday in Cincinnati.

Moran's blast off of Matt Harvey in the fourth inning was the only tally the Pirates were able to muster off of the right-hander. It was the third baseman's fourth dinger of the season. Moran has posted a solid .285/.378/.455 for the Pirates but hasn't done much in the way of counting stats.

Brandon McCarthy held the Phillies to one run over 5 2/3 frames Tuesday in the Braves' 3-1 victory.

The tall right-hander struck out five on the night, walked a couple and gave up four hits. He was pulled with a runner on first base and two out in the sixth and Sam Freeman got out of the inning. McCarthy now holds a 2.08 ERA over four starts against the Phillies this season and a 6.53 ERA versus everyone else. He’ll take on the Mets – not the Phillies – next.
