Andre Johnson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
The Texans are limiting Johnson's reps coming off Monday night's loss. He'll be a WR2 for Week 8 against the Titans.
Arian Foster was limited in Wednesday's practice.
The Texans listed Foster as "not injury related," but he missed practice time last week with a groin issue. Foster has a matchup with the Titans' No. 22 ranked run defense in Week 8.
ESPN's Michael DiRocco believes the Jaguars could "have found their running back of the future" in Denard Robinson.
"It may be the Denard Robinson show going forward," DiRocco said. "The Jaguars are going to limit his workload in the 15-20 carry range…but I think the main job is going to be Robinson's." Toby Gerhart resumed practicing Wednesday, and could return this week in a complementary role. Robinson has a promising long-term upside, but will be just an RB3/FLEX option in Week 8 against Miami.
Kenny Britt (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.
Britt suffered the injury in Sunday's win over Seattle, but was able to return. The Rams are likely holding him out for rest purposes.
Brandon Gibson (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Gibson is over his hamstring issue. He's now listed with a knee injury. Gibson has fallen behind Jarvis Landry on the depth chart, and is no higher than the No. 5 option.
Charles Clay (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Clay is still dealing with his knee injury. There's no concern about his Week 8 status. Coming off his best game of the season, Clay will be just a mid-range TE2 despite a favorable matchup with the Jaguars.
Giants WRs coach Sean Ryan says Corey Washington remains "a work in progress."
"He's learning to run an entire route tree," Ryan said when asked why Washington isn't playing. "There is growing to be done with Corey. He works on his releases, his routes, his top of the breaks, getting out of those -- things he needs to improve on." At 6'4/214, Washington is merely a Dynasty stash and watch-list candidate. With Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle expected to see increased reps in the slot with Victor Cruz out, Washington could see a few snaps on the outside.
Josh McCown (thumb) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
McCown is on track to return coming off the Bucs' Week 7 bye. He should handle backup duties behind Mike Glennon.
