Lions OC Jim Bob Cooter said Dwayne Washington is "building confidence" with the coaching staff.

Beat reporters have been talking all week about Washington seeing more carries, and now his coordinator says he is building confidence. All signs are pointing to Washington having a bigger role after outplaying Theo Riddick last week. He is a great upside play in a plus matchup against the Bears.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Dez Bryant (knee) will not practice Thursday.

It is not surprising. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has said Bryant is a "long-shot" to play against the 49ers, and he could be looking at a multi-week absence. Cole Beasley and Brice Butler are interesting names in deep leagues.

Sammy Watkins (foot) is not practicing Thursday.

Watkins was expected to test out his foot either Wednesday or today, so his absence is not a great sign. It is possible he returns to the practice field Friday, but his Week 4 chances are not looking good.

Bills LT Cordy Glenn (ankle) is practicing Thursday.

It is the second practice in a row for Glenn after he got in a limited session Wednesday. He looks on track to play this week.

Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley (foot) did not practice Thursday.

Stanley was questionable with a foot injury last week, but he ended up playing every snap. Still, two missed practices are certainly reason for concern. He needs to get in some work Friday to have a shot at playing.

Eric Decker (shoulder) did not practice Thursday.

Decker was on the field, but he did not even stretch with the team. His absence is not surprising considering he was headed for an MRI after missing Wednesday's session. It is extremely unlikely he suits up this week. Quincy Enunwa should see a big bump in targets with Decker sidelined, and he is available in a ton of leagues.

Cowboys LT Tyron Smith (back) did not practice Wednesday.

Smith was inactive Week 3 after his back tightened up in Friday's practice. He continued to suffer spasms throughout the weekend, but the Cowboys think he is improving and expect him to play against the 49ers. Chaz Green will start again at left tackle if Smith cannot go.

Jets coach Todd Bowles said the team will "make sure" Brandon Marshall gets the ball.

"I’m sure (defenses are) paying attention to him; they were paying attention to him last year," Bowles said. "We just have to find better ways to get him the ball." Marshall does have 27 targets through three games, but he has caught just 12 of those for 160 yards and, most concerningly, zero touchdowns. With Eric Decker looking likely to miss some time with a shoulder injury, Marshall will have to be more effective moving forward.
