New Orleans is waiving Omri Casspi (thumb) and will sign Reggie Williams.

Casspi broke his thumb on Thursday night and will miss 4-6 weeks. The Pelicans, in a push to capture the eighth seed and sneak into the playoffs, can't afford to wait for him to return. Williams played for the Pelicans earlier this season. He appeared in five games in December and averaged 5.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in 12.6 minutes. Williams can be left on the waiver wire, as he likely won't see consistent minutes over the final two months of the season.

The Pelicans will waive injured forward Omri Casspi in order to sign Reggie Williams.

Casspi is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a broken thumb, but this is still a bit surprising. We wouldn't expect another team to sign Casspi while he's on the shelf, so leave him on the wire. Reggie Williams likely won't have much value either and this should give Solomon Hill a slight boost.

Tyson Chandler will come off the bench on Friday vs. the Bulls.

The Suns are going nowhere this season and are building towards the future, so Chandler's minutes are likely going to trend down the rest of the way. Expect Alex Len, Marquese Chriss and possibly even Alan Williams to get more opportunities going forward at the expense of the veteran center. His owners should see what his role looks like tonight before making a roster move, unless of course that move is to add Len.

Alex Abrines will start for Victor Oladipo (back) on Friday against the Lakers.

He should have by far his best chance at minutes with Dipo out and Anthony Morrow in Chicago. Abrines isn't going to do much outside of shoot, so he's only a stream in deep leagues.

K.J. McDaniels (trade) is inactive on Friday vs. the Nuggets.

He was just acquired at the deadline on Thursday, but there's a good chance that he will be cleared in time for Saturday's game vs. the Warriors. McDaniels should get a shot at minutes in Brooklyn and has upside in blocks and triples, but most fantasy owners can just keep an eye on him.
Feb 24 - 7:51 PM

Darrell Arthur (illness) is available to play Friday night vs. the Nets.

Arthur was available to play Thursday night as well but received a DNP-CD. It will be difficult for Arthur to carve out consistent minutes with both Wilson Chandler and Kenneth Faried fully healthy.
Feb 24 - 7:43 PM

Kenneth Faried (ankle) is available to play against the Nets on Friday.

He played just 14 minutes in his return to the lineup on Thursday. Faried should be looking at more playing time in a very fantasy friendly matchup, but he's more of a low-end guy.
Feb 24 - 7:38 PM

Danilo Gallinari (groin) and Kenneth Faried (ankle) will play on Friday vs. the Nets.

The Nuggets will list their injured players as probable for up to week after they return, so Gallo wasn't in real danger of missing this one. He scored 15 points with six rebounds, four assists, one steal and two turnovers in 30 minutes against the Kings on Thursday and gets to look forward to a great matchup with the Nets.
