Adam Eaton (wrist, ankle) is not in the White Sox starting lineup on Saturday and isn't expected to return until after the All-Star break.

They dynamic young outfielder is dealing with a sore left wrist and right ankle, and could use a few extra days in order to be 100% ready for the second half of the season. He's hitting .270/.340/.372 with one homer, 25 RBI and eight stolen bases through 74 games on the season.

Henderson Alvarez was named to the National League All-Star team as an injury replacement for Jordan Zimmermann.

Alvarez will be the second member of the Marlins headed to Minneapolis, joining teammate Giancarlo Stanton. He's certainly had a deserving first half, registering a 6-4 record, 2.63 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 73/22 K/BB ratio over his 120 innings of work.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons announced that R.A. Dickey will start the finale of the season's first half on Sunday against the Rays.

Dickey will be working on his regular rest. That means J.A. Happ will have his next start pushed back until after the Mid-Summer Classic. Dickey has been much improved in recent weeks, posting a 3.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 38/15 K/BB ratio over his last seven starts.

Marco Scutaro has returned to the Giants starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Scutaro has missed the entire season thus far due to a recurring back injury. While he will be eased back into action, he makes for an interesting target in deeper mixed, and NL-only formats.

Orioles optioned RHP Miguel Gonzalez to Triple-A Norfolk.

Gonzalez had an option remaining, and will make a start in the minor leagues over the All-Star break so that he doesn't have an extra-long layoff. Through the season's first half he sports a 4.04 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 69/32 K/BB ratio over 89 innings.

Cardinals optioned C Audry Perez to Triple-A Memphis.

Perez was serving as the primary backup to Tony Cruz with Yadier Molina on the disabled list, but became expendable after the addition of George Kottaras. He'll continue to function as organizational depth.

Brewers recalled INF/OF Elian Herrera from Triple-A Nashville.

Herrera will provide additional depth for the Brewers while Jean Segura attends to a family tragedy back home in the Dominican Republic. The 29-year-old has appeared in 37 games with the Brewers this season, hitting .235/.241/.284 with two RBI and a 24/1 K/BB ratio over 81 at-bats.

Brewers placed SS Jean Segura on the bereavement list.

Segura has left the Brewers and returned home to the Dominican Republic to deal with a family tragedy. Brewers manager Ron Roenicke announced Saturday that Segura's nine-month-old son passed away on Friday. Our deepest condolences go out to Segura and to his family at this unfortunate and tragic time.
