Giants RT Justin Pugh (back) hopes to return in Week 13.

Speaking Tuesday, Pugh said he is "feeling better," but does not want to rush his return. With the 2-8 Giants playing on Thursday night, it's a sensible policy from their right tackle. Chad Wheeler is filling in during Pugh's absence.

Lions waived DT Khyri Thornton.

Thornton had played just 68 snaps in four appearances since returning from a six-game PED ban. Turning 28 on Tuesday, Thornton will hunt for work as a run stopper if he clears waivers.

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the Broncos plan to start Paxton Lynch against the Raiders in Week 12.

Things have been trending this way since Sunday's (latest) loss. Official word is expected to come Wednesday. Lynch showed very little in two rookie starts, but the Broncos have nothing to lose as they play out the string of a lost season. They need to find out if their 2016 first-rounder has anything resembling a future under center. Lynch couldn't ask for a softer opponent than a Raiders team generating essentially zero pressure or turnovers.

Browns placed DT Jamie Meder (high-ankle sprain) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Meder is a run stopper who was playing 20-25 weekly snaps. A 2014 UDFA, he's headed for restricted free agency. Turning 27 in April, it's possible he's not tendered a contract by the rebuilding Browns.

Byron Marshall will take over as the Redskins' passing-down back following Chris Thompson's season-ending leg injury.

Marshall was signed off the Eagles' practice squad just one week ago. "(He's) a bright kid and willing to learn," coach Jay Gruden said. "He’s not going to have much of a choice. He’s going to have to." The third-down back is a heavily utilized position in Gruden's offense, but Marshall won't simply assume Thompson's lost targets. For now, Marshall should not be considered PPR viable.

Sterling Shepard (migraines) was officially "DNP" in Tuesday's practice.

It's a downgrade from Monday's limited session. Coach Ben McAdoo said Shepard is "not feeling well," and that the team is trying to determine the source of his migraines. Shepard is now on the wrong side of questionable for Thursday night's game against the Redskins, though a Wednesday return would have him on track to suit up.

Seahawks RG Oday Aboushi will miss Week 12 with a dislocated shoulder.

Aboushi suffered the injury in the fourth quarter on Monday night. It's possible he misses multiple games. Presumably, Mark Glowinski will now slide back into the starting lineup. Like Glowinski before him, Aboushi has been a liability on Russell Wilson's right side.

Cardinals promoted WR Carlton Agudosi from the practice squad.

With John Brown out for Week 12, the Cards needed an extra body at receiver. An UDFA out of Rutgers, Agudosi caught four passes for 52 yards in the preseason.
