Kolten Wong is not in the Cardinals starting lineup on Saturday.

It's nothing more than a day of rest for Wong who should be back in there for Sunday's series finale. Pete Kozma will make his first start of the season in his place and will bat eighth against opposing right-hander Homer Bailey.

Derek Norris is not in the Padres starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Cubs.

It's a routine day of rest for Norris being a day game after a night game, but it's also noteworthy that it will be the second straight time that Will Nieves has caught for Tyson Ross. Expect to see Norris back in there on Sunday.

Trevor Plouffe is not in the Twins starting lineup on Saturday.

Eduardo Nunez is getting the start in his place at third base and will bat eighth for the Twins against Danny Salazar and the Indians. Plouffe should return to his place at the hot corner for Sunday's series finale.

Indians optioned RHP Austin Adams to Triple-A Columbus.

Adams has already been shuffled back and forth from Columbus a couple of times early in the season, and may continue to do so anytime the Indians need an extra arm.
Apr 18 - 11:20 AM

Indians recalled RHP Danny Salazar from Triple-A Columbus.

Salazar will make his season debut against the Twins on Saturday. Regardless of how he performs in that start, manager Terry Francona has already confirmed that he'll remain in the Tribe's rotation moving forward. He's a terrific target in daily leagues on Saturday and an intriguing addition in all mixed leagues.

Jayson Werth is not in the Nationals starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Phillies.

Clint Robinson is drawing the start in left field and batting fifth for the Nationals against Aaron Harang and the Phillies. The Nationals are likely to give Werth the occasional day off in order to protect his shoulder, and he should be back in there on Sunday.

Ben Revere is not in the Phillies starting lineup on Saturday.

Revere is once again on the pine in favor of Darin Ruf who is drawing the start in left field. While Revere is off to a slow start at the dish, it's hard for him to get going with such sporadic playing time. The Phillies handling of him early in the season has been curious to say the least.

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said Saturday that they are going to slow Justin Verlander (triceps) down.

Verlander isn't going to touch a baseball until Sunday as he continues to battle through a triceps injury. At this point, he's going to need at least one minor league rehab start, probably more. Fantasy owners shouldn't count on getting the right-hander active for another couple of weeks.
