Jets waived/injured S Antonio Allen.
Allen has been dealing with a concussion. He'll revert to IR when he clear waivers.
Jaguars promoted RB Bronson Hill from the practice squad.
It's a sign Chris Ivory (questionable, hamstring) could miss another week. Jacksonville also activated OL Luke Bowanko from the PUP list.
Jaguars placed DE Jared Odrick (elbow) on season-ending injured reserve.
Odrick was active for just six games this year. He had been dealing with elbow issues since Week 2 but couldn't play through it the last few weeks. Odrick should be fully healthy for 2017 OTAs. He isn't a lock to return at his non-guaranteed $8.5 million salary.
Jaguars placed TE Julius Thomas (back) on injured reserve.
He's done for the season. Thomas had been sidelined since Week 11 and wasn't close to returning. He's missed 11 games over the last two years and hasn't played to his contract when healthy. Thomas has a $8.3 million 2017 cap hit. Jacksonville can save $7.1M from making him a post-June cut.
Browns signed CB Jamar Taylor to a three-year, $15 million extension.
A former second-round bust with Miami, the Browns traded next to nothing for Taylor at April's draft. He's turned his career around as a full-time starter opposite Joe Haden, grading out positively both outside and in the nickel spot at PFF. Taylor gives Cleveland a solid No. 2 corner going into next season. His new deal keeps him under team control through 2019.
Cowboys KR Lucky Whitehead won't play in Sunday night's game against the Giants.
Whitehead will miss the game for a violation of team rules. He isn't a factor on offense but is the Cowboys' primary returner. Lance Dunbar should replace Whitehead on special teams.
Texans placed WR Jaelen Strong (ankle) on season-ending injured reserve.
CB Denzel Rice was signed in a corresponding move. Strong has been sidelined since Week 8 with an ankle injury. The 2015 third-rounder has just 28 catches in two seasons. He will compete with Braxton Miller for a role during the offseason program.
Bucs activated Charles Sims (knee) off injured reserve.
Coach Dirk Koetter created some worry Saturday morning when he said Sims would be activated "sooner than later," but Sims will return this week as expected. With the Bucs hurting at receiver, he could have a big role in the passing game. Despite coming out of a long injury layoff, Sims has some RB3 appeal even in standard leagues. Tampa Bay also promoted WR Donteea Dye off the practice squad while waiving OL Josh Allen and DT John Hughes.
