Lance Thomas got the start against the 76ers on Saturday, scoring 11 points with six rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

Coach Jeff Hornacek seems to like him for his defense, but Thomas made some mistakes on that end. Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) is not expected to be out for too long, so Thomas only has value in deeper leagues.

Dion Waiters scored 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting on Saturday vs. the Pacers.

Waiters continues to stay hot, while Josh Richardson posted another dud with two points in 14 minutes. Waiters turned the ball over six times, but added three assists, two rebounds, two steals and three 3-pointers. He also sank all three of his free throws. Waiters is a lock to decline his player option for the 2017-18 season, but he said he's "comfortable" in Miami and hopes to re-sign this summer. His fantasy owners should keep rolling him out there until further notice.

Kyle O'Quinn scored nine points with five rebounds, five assists, five steals and two blocks in 25 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

A 4x5 will work for KOQ. Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) and Joakim Noah (hamstring) did not play in this game while Willy Hernangomez was in some foul trouble, so it was a perfect storm for O'Quinn. We've seen about a dozen big games from him this year, but he can fall off faster than just about anyone. If you want to add him, just remember you might be dropping him after his next game.

Hassan Whiteside had a field day against the Pacers on Saturday with 22 points, 17 rebounds, one steal and one block.

He now has 15 games with 20+ points and 15+ rebounds, second to only Anthony Davis (18) this season. Whiteside finished 6-of-12 from the field and 10-of-13 from the line, bumping his free throw percentage up to 57.8 percent on the season. That's the only thing holding him back in standard leagues, but he's still returning third-round value. His owners should just be relieved that the shut-down risk has gone way done with the Heat winning 16 out of their last 18 games.

Mindaugas Kuzminskas scored three points with three assists in 22 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

We saw him put up numbers in the last go 'round Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) was out, but Lance Thomas being healthy hurts Kuzminskas' chances for a good game. Leave him on the wire.
Feb 25 - 10:51 PM

James Johnson nearly triple-doubled in Saturday's 113-95 win over the Pacers with 15 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in 29 minutes.

What a way to bounce back after scoring just two points on Friday. Johnson also stuffed the stat sheet with two blocks, two steals and two triples, shooting 6-of-14 from the field and 1-of-3 from the line with five turnovers. He's arguably the waiver wire pickup of the year and could have more minutes coming his way if backup center Willie Reed misses time with his right calf strain -- Heat coach Erik Spoelstra isn't afraid to use JJ as a small-ball five.
Feb 25 - 10:46 PM

Justin Holiday scored 14 points with seven rebounds, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

Revenge game for trading away his brother? Bad jokes aside, Justin did benefit tonight with Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) out to bump Carmelo Anthony over to the four more often and open up wing minutes. Porzingis isn't expected to be out long, so there's little incentive to add Holiday until further notice.
Feb 25 - 10:46 PM

Derrick Rose scored 18 points with five rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 36 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

He did go to the locker room during this game, but it did not look like it was due to an injury. Rose was also gone from the locker room when the media was allowed to enter. He also said he had to leave a media scrum to catch a flight to Chicago. Never a dull moment, apparently.
