A Braves official told Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports that the club is "99.9 percent" sure they will not trade Julio Teheran before the deadline.

The 99.9 percent number came after the official said outright that the team is "not trading Teheran." That the Braves are inclined to keep Teheran isn't a surprise, as he's under control cheaply through 2020 and the club would like him to start on Opening Day next season in their new stadium. However, he'll be sought after next month, regardless (the Red Sox are one team that's reportedly already inquired), and the Braves will surely be open to a deal if they get an offer to their liking.

Carlos Beltran (hamstring) will hit in a batting cage on Thursday.

Beltran is not in the lineup again Thursday but appears to be feeling a bit better. He tweaked his right hamstring on Tuesday and will likely be down for a few days.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Mets will recall Seth Lugo from Triple-A Las Vegas prior to Thursday's game versus the Cubs.

He'll supplant Sean Gilmartin as the club's long man in the bullpen. Lugo, 26, holds a 6.55 ERA and 55/18 K/BB ratio over 68 2/3 frames this season at Las Vegas. He'll be making his major league debut when he enters a game.

White Sox recalled 3B Matt Davidson from Triple-A Charlotte.

Davidson has had a nice year for Charlotte, batting .268/.349/.444 with 10 homers and 46 RBI over 326 plate appearances. The 25-year-old figures to see some playing time in the designated hitter spot while Melky Cabrera (wrist) is out, as Avisail Garcia is needed for outfield duty. Given Garcia's struggles, it's not out of the question that he could stick around a while if he hits. That's probably not likely, though, as Davidson hit around .200 at Triple-A from 2014-15.

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Rangers are showing interest in Matt Moore.

Topkin says that the Rangers are "already hot on Moore's trail and 3-4 others are expected to join the pursuit." Moore has rebounded after a seven-start stretch where he put up a 7.71 ERA, posting a 2.36 ERA over his last four outings while striking out a batter per inning. The lefty is a wild card given his inconsistent results since returning from Tommy John surgery, but he makes sense as a potential lightning-in-a-bottle type acquisition given his upside. The Rays have three club options on Moore starting in 2017.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday that Domingo Santana (elbow) is "not making much progress."

Counsell added that it's "doubtful" the outfielder will make it back before the All-Star break. "He's not on the field yet for throwing activities," the skipper said. "So, I don't think he'll make it before the All-Star break." Santana has played in only 40 games this season due to a sore shoulder and now a sore elbow. "We're not making much progress, I guess, which is frustrating for Domingo," Counsell said. "You've got to get him pain-free before we head him to the next step. Diagnostically, we feel like we've done everything that needs to be done. It's just in the healing stage. There's nothing that needs to be done. Just rest and therapy. We're trying to get him to progress to the point of plyometric exercises inside, then you start throwing."
