The Angels are expected to call up outfield prospect Kole Calhoun before Monday's game against the A's.

Calhoun is batting .296/.365/.491 with five homers and 31 RBI in 43 games this year at Triple-A. He slugged 22 home runs and stole 20 bases last year in Single-A. The 24-year-old will function as outfield depth while Vernon Wells and Ryan Langerhans recover from injuries.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Sunday that Orlando Hudson will play primarily at the hot corner.

Hudson agreed to a deal with the White Sox on Saturday and is expected to join up with the team Tuesday. "(Third base is) probably more of where he would play with Gordon (Beckham) being at second," Ventura told reporters. "He might be able to fill in there later, give (Beckham) a day off here or there." Brent Morel is headed to the disabled list with a bulging disk in his back.

Maicer Izturis finished 0-for-6 in Sunday's 13-inning interleague loss to the Padres.

Izturis is batting just .244 with a .614 OPS in 27 games this season. He does have seven stolen bases, but the 31-year-old is not a sure bet for regular playing time and can remain ignored in most mixed fantasy leagues.
May 21 - 11:49 AM

David Hernandez has allowed one run since April 30.

The Arizona setup man struggled out of the gate this season but seems to have settled in nicely. Hernandez now boasts a 2.37 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 27/7 K/BB ratio through 19 innings of relief. He also has seven holds.

Jesse Litsch told Sportsnet's Barry Davis that his shoulder infection has become "career threatening."

The infection developed around Litsch's surgical wound in March and has only gotten worse despite efforts (including a second procedure) to correct it. He's on the 60-day disabled list and remains out indefinitely. The 27-year-old has a 4.16 ERA in 88 career appearances.
May 21 - 10:59 AM

Garrett Jones doubled in Sunday's loss to the Tigers.

Jones has six doubles, four home runs and 25 strikeouts in 95 plate appearances this season, and is sporting a rough .231/.253/.429 batting line. He has some pop still, but the 31-year-old first baseman and outfielder is a fringe fantasy option in standard mixed leagues.
May 21 - 10:50 AM

Alejandro De Aza went 2-for-5 as the White Sox finished off a sweep of the Cubs on Sunday.

De Aza is batting .288/.368/.425 with three home runs, eight steals and 13 RBI in 42 games this season. He makes for a fine third fantasy outfielder in mixed leagues.
May 21 - 10:31 AM

Kosuke Fukudome is batting just .175/.286/.200 through 49 plate appearances this year for the White Sox.

Fukudome has no home runs, no stolen bases and just four RBI. The 35-year-old corner outfielder is far from fantasy relevant and may be in danger of losing his 25-man roster spot if the struggles continue.
