Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) is doubtful for Week 12 against the Lions.

This has been the way it's been moving the last 24 hours; Trubisky isn't going to play Thursday, and it will be Chase Daniel making the start with Tyler Bray likely to back him up. Trubisky is said to have a sprained AC joint, but the Bears expect him to be able to return Week 13 against the Giants.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports it's "more likely" Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) sits in favor of Chase Daniel for Thursday's Week 12 game against the Lions.

Trubisky is dealing with a bruised shoulder, and RapSheet says if it were a Sunday game, he'd likely be able to play. But on an ultra-short week with a Thursday morning game after a Sunday nighter, it simply isn't enough time for Trubisky. Injury designations will be official later Wednesday afternoon.

Dolphins CB Bobby McCain has cleared the league's concussion protocol and will play Week 12 against the Colts.

McCain was concussed in Week 10 against the Packers but had the Week 11 bye to rest. The veteran covers the slot for Miami and will see T.Y. Hilton.

Torrey Smith (knee) returned to practice Wednesday.

Smith hasn't played since Week 7. In his absence, first-round rookie D.J. Moore has taken off as a quality playmaker. Moore needs to keep playing over Smith, but we'd bet the veteran mixes in for snaps out wide.

Colts C Ryan Kelly has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL and is week to week.

Kelly was worried about his ACL, but he received good news after leaving last week's win over the Titans. Kelly has already been ruled out for Sunday against the Dolphins. Evan Boehm will get the start at the pivot for Indy.

A.J. Green (toe) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

However, coach Marvin Lewis said Green will practice later this week. Whether that's Thursday or Friday remains to be known. Reports over the weekend were than Green has a "good chance" to play against the Browns.

Charles Clay (hamstring) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

Clay has been a total non-factor this year. Logan Thomas and Jason Croom will soak up the snaps at tight end if Clay can't go against the Jaguars.

Eagles CB Jalen Mills (foot) remains sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

The Eagles are severely banged up in the secondary. Mills went down in Week 8, Ronald Darby tore his ACL in Week 10, and all three of Sidney Jones (hamstring), Rasul Douglas (knee), and Avonte Maddox (knee) are considered day to day. At this point, we don't even know who the Eagles will deploy at corner.
