Tashaun Gipson (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 5.
Gipson hasn’t practiced since going down in the second half last week. Outside of a Week 1 interception, it’s been a disappointing start for him in a contract year. Gipson's missed five tackles and ranks in the bottom-third of PFF’s safeties. Jordan Poyer will replace Gipson opposite Donte Whitner.
Markus Wheaton (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 5.
Wheaton practiced in full after playing through an ankle injury last week. With Martavis Bryant not expected to be activated, he'll remain the starter opposite Antonio Brown. Wheaton isn't a streaming option against the Chargers.
Jaguars signed LB Jordan Tripp off the practice squad.
LB John Lotulelei (concussion) was waived/injured in a corresponding move. With Paul Posluszny (ankle) questionable, Tripp will provide insurance. Tripp played some snaps at middle linebacker last season with the Dolphins.
Ryan Shazier (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 5 against the Chargers.
Shazier was listed as a full participant on Thursday and Friday, but he did not practice on Saturday. Shazier did not sound like a player ready to return when he said, "I'm ready to go if I have to," earlier in the week. Shazier should be considered questionable for Week 6 against the Cardinals.
Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said he wants to get WR Emmanuel Sanders "more involved."
Sanders is averaging over 10 targets a game this season, but he saw just six last week against the Vikings. With the running game not working and no real weapons at tight end, the Broncos need to lean on Sanders and Demaryius Thomas to find success on offense. The duo has combined for 59 percent of the Broncos' targets so far this season.
Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) has been downgraded to doubtful for Week 5 against the Rams.
Adams was never expected to play after missing practice all week, but this all but confirms it. Ty Montgomery will serve as the No. 3 receiver. Morgan Burnett (calf) was also downgraded to doubtful.
Ravens signed WR Jeremy Ross off their practice squad.
DT Christo Bilukidi was waived in a corresponding move. Ross will operate as the Ravens' primary kick returner and will provide depth for the banged-up receiver corps.
Jaguars MLB Paul Posluszny (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Bucs.
Posluszny did not practice all week with a high-ankle sprain. It would be very surprising if he played, but coach Gus Bradley suggested he will be a game-time decision. Posluszny has the fifth-most tackles in the league this season.
