Brandon Guyer made the most of a spot start Sunday, homering and driving in four runs in a win over the Blue Jays.

Starting in place of the injured Desmond Jennings (knee), Guyer took Mark Buehrle deep in the first inning, hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth and singled in another run in the sixth. Guyer plays pretty regularly versus lefties but could see some more time against righties if Jennings' injury lingers.

Rajai Davis exited Sunday's game against the Indians with an apparent leg injury.

Davis had to be pinch-run for after singling in the ninth inning. The Tigers should provide an update on his status shortly.

Jason Heyward is considered day-to-day with a left groin injury.

Heyward suffered the injury during Sunday's game against the Brewers while chasing down a ball in the outfield. He tested things out with some jogging and looked OK, but the Cardinals decided to be cautious here. Consider the outfielder day-to-day.

Gio Gonzalez gave up six earned runs in five innings Sunday as the Nationals fell to the Marlins.

Gonzalez struck out eight and walked just one, but Miami's offense pounded him for 10 hits -- including three triples. Gio now has a rough 1-2 record, 5.01 ERA, and 1.71 WHIP in 23 1/3 innings this season and the Nationals have lost five straight games. Gonzalez will try to get on the right track next weekend against the Phillies.

Mets prospect Michael Conforto went 3-for-4 with a home run Saturday for High-A St. Lucie.

Teams are starting to pitch around Conforto (five intentional walks) and for good reason. Saturday's blast was his fifth of the season. The 22-year-old is also hitting for average with five multi-hit efforts in his last 10 outings. MLB ranks Conforto as the fifth-best prospect in New York's minor league system.

Dodgers prospect Corey Seager belted a pair of homers Saturday for Double-A Tulsa.

The 20-year-old has impressed at every level, hitting .320 across 1,082 minor league at-bats. Seager doesn't walk much (just two free passes this season), but that approach hasn't hindered his success. His .433 average this season leads all Texas League hitters. Seager doesn't have anything left to prove at Double-A and should be headed to Triple-A Oklahoma City shortly.

Jason Heyward left Sunday's game versus the Brewers with an apparent left leg injury.

Heyward tweaked something while chasing after a ball in the right-field corner. He tested things out with some jogging and looked OK, but the Cardinals decided to go ahead and pull him just to be safe. The club should have an update on his status shortly.

Astros prospect Chris Devenski tossed 6 1/3 no-hit innings Saturday for Double-A Corpus Christi.

The 24-year-old was removed after 87 pitches. Rangers prospect Jorge Alfaro broke up the no-hit bid shortly after. The Cal-State Fullerton alum hasn't allowed a run yet this season and has limited opponents to a .113 average in 57 plate appearances. Devenski's eight strikeouts Saturday were a season-high.
