Coco Crisp (neck) went 2-for-4 with a run scored Monday against the Orioles in his return from the disabled list.

Crisp ended up missing more than two more months with a neck injury. He's no sure thing to stay healthy given his history, but the A's are planning on using him as their primary left fielder and No. 2 hitter.

Huston Street pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his 26th save, putting the finishing touches on Monday's 5-4 victory over the Indians.

Street allowed a one-out single to Michael Bourn, who then second base with two outs, but he was able to get Jose Ramirez to fly out to end the game. Back in the ninth inning after healing up from a groin injury, Street is 26-for-29 in save situations with a 2.72 ERA and a 39/12 K/BB ratio in 39 2/3 innings.
Aug 4 - 1:17 AM

Corey Kluber yielded five runs in 5 2/3 innings, taking his 12th loss of the season on Monday versus the Angels.

Kluber served up 10 hits, including a two-run home run to Conor Gillaspie. He also walked none while striking out four. The right-hander, last year's AL Cy Young Award winner, has been inconsistent this year, sitting on a 3.60 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP and a 176/32 K/BB ratio over 162 2/3 innings. Kluber squares off at home against the Twins next.
Aug 4 - 1:15 AM

Yan Gomes finished 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Angels.

Gomes clubbed a two-run home run in the first inning to extend the Indians' lead to 3-0. The backstop has swung a better bat since the beginning of July, but still has a measly .227/.254/.369 batting line on the year along with six home runs and 20 RBI.
Aug 4 - 1:12 AM

Garrett Richards allowed four runs and struck out a season-high 11 batters in 7 1/3 innings as the Angels hung on to beat the Indians on Monday.

Richards fell behind 3-0 after the first inning, but corrected course after that. He gave up four hits and three walks along with the 11 K's. The right-hander moves to 11-8 on the year with a 3.46 ERA, a 1.18 WHIP, and a 102/44 K/BB ratio over 130 innings. Richards will take the hill at home against the Orioles in his next start.
Aug 4 - 1:11 AM

Caleb Joseph hit an RBI double and a two-run home run in four at-bats on Monday, helping the Orioles to a 9-2 win against the Athletics.

Joseph made it a 6-0 game with a two-run home run off of Jesse Chavez in the fourth inning. He tacked on an RBI double in the fifth inning to make it 8-1. Splitting time with Matt Wieters behind the plate, Joseph is hitting .250/.325/.429 with nine home runs and 37 RBI.
Aug 4 - 1:02 AM

Chris Davis went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's win versus the Athletics.

Davis gave the Orioles a 3-0 lead in the first inning when he took Jesse Chavez yard with a pair of ducks on the pond. He's homered in back-to-back games, and eight times in his last 13 games. Davis now owns a .245/.325/.508 batting line with 27 home runs and 75 RBI.
Aug 4 - 1:00 AM

Jesse Chavez was chased after 3 2/3 innings, giving up six runs to the Orioles in Monday's loss.

Chris Davis put Chavez against the ropes early with a three-run home run in the first inning. Caleb Joseph added a two-run blast in the fourth. Overall, the right-hander allowed nine hits and two walks while striking out only one. It ranks as Chavez's poorest start of the year, but he still holds a 3.88 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP and a 100/33 K/BB ratio over 118 1/3 innings. He'll toe the rubber at home against the Astros in his next outing.
