The Cavs and Jazz have discussed a trade involving Jordan McRae and Shelvin Mack, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com.

The Cavs need a point guard behind Kyrie Irving, but they are running out of assets to get a deal done. McRae has been pretty solid when he's called upon while the Cavs are resting guys, but he wouldn't have much value in Utah.

Talks "have stalled out" between the Cavs and Jazz on a deal involving Shelvin Mack and Jordan McRae, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com.

The two teams have been talking this month and the Cavs have reportedly been after Mack for over a month due to their lack of depth at the point. If the Cavs can get a deal done, Mack could have some value at some point later this season while the Cavs rest Kyrie Irving.

There have been no "substantial talks" between the Celtics and Pacers on Paul George, according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.

The earlier report from The Vertical said the Pacers are looking at George's value in the trade market. In other words, George wants to stay in Indiana, but the Pacers haven't quite put enough pieces around him on the current roster. He could have interest in joining the Lakers in two seasons, but PG-13 has maintained that winning is his top priority. Additionally, the PG-13 reports could lower the price on Jimmy Butler now with two stars possibly being on selling teams.

There is "very little interest" on Tyson Chandler at the deadline, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

The 34-year-old Chandler still has two years and $30.6 million left on his deal after this season. Back when the Suns signed him in July of 2015, part of their reasoning may have been to lure LaMarcus Aldridge to sign. Obviously that hasn't worked out with the Suns sitting at the No. 2 spot in the lottery. For now, Alex Len and Alan Williams aren't the best stashes.

Josh Richardson (foot) has been cleared to play on Friday against the Hawks.

He's been out since Jan. 6 and was in a walking boot last month, but Richardson has been doing some practicing since at least Feb. 3. He was on a roll to close his 2016 with 20.3 points per game in his final three December games, but the emergence of Dion Waiters could limit him. He's still someone worthy of a pickup on most leagues to see what happens.

Hawks general manager Wes Wilcox said re-signing Paul Millsap this summer is "absolutely" a priority.

Adrian Wojnarowski added the Hawks are "very focused" on being buyers at the deadline. Millsap hasn't quite busted out following a monster 2015-16, but there is still time for him to reward those fantasy owners who took him early.

Omer Asik (illness) is doubtful to play against the Rockets on Thursday.

He's not in the rotation anyway. The Pelicans would love to shed Asik's contract.

Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical believes the Magic will be active at the deadline.

The Magic tried to be cool and go bigger while the rest of the NBA went smaller, but it clearly didn't work and they had to sell Serge Ibaka at a discount. Now, they have to hit the reset button and may look to sell off some players. Besides guys like Jeff Green and D.J. Augustin, we haven't seen too many rumored names on the block. Still, this team could make some surprising moves.
