ESPN Panthers reporter David Newton believes the Panthers will move on from RB DeAngelo Williams following the season.

After years of struggling under the dead-money weight of Williams' contract, the Panthers will finally be in a position to cut loose the aging running back this offseason. Williams is only due $1.85 million in base salary in 2015, but carries a cap hit of $6.33 million for next season. The cap-strapped Panthers could save around $2 million on the 2015 cap by designating Williams a post-June 1 cut. With his play on the field slipping, it is an easy move for Carolina to make.

DeAngelo Williams (hand) is listed as probable for Week 17 against the Falcons, but Jonathan Stewart is still expected to start.

Coach Ron Rivera was unwilling to discuss the specifics of the running back rotation, but it is safe to assume the red-hot Stewart will retain most of the work even if Williams plays. Stewart had rushed for a league-high 437 yards over the past four games and has helped spark the Panthers to three straight wins. He is a solid RB2 against the Falcons.

The Boston Globe's Ben Volin expects Tom Brady to only play a half Week 17 against the Bills.

This report echoes an earlier report from ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss, who said the Patriots could treat the meaningless game as a fourth preseason contest. Regardless of the exact snap count, it is becoming clear Brady and the Patriots' starters will not play a full game against the Bills. Already in a tough matchup, Brady needs to be avoided in both seasonal and daily formats.

The Boston Globe's Ben Volin believes Rob Gronkowski will receive "little-to-no playing time" in the Patriots' season finale against the Bills.

With nothing on the line Week 17, it makes little sense for the Patriots to play their dynamic but oft-injured tight end. Gronkowski could very well put up a goose egg Week 17, making him unplayable in both seasonal and daily formats. Tim Wright will likely see a bump in snaps with Gronk limited, but would be a poor option against the Bills' suffocating pass defense.

Vikings placed rookie LB Anthony Barr (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.

LB Josh Kaddu was signed in a corresponding move. The ninth overall pick in last May's draft, Barr was a standout player in his rookie season. He racked up 70 tackles and four sacks across 12 starts, and had perhaps the play of the Vikings' season when he stripped fellow rookie Bucs TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins on the first play of overtime Week 8 and returned the fumble all the way for the game-winning score.

Eagles LCB Bradley Fletcher (hip) has been listed as questionable for Week 17 against the Giants despite getting in a full practice Friday.

Fletcher has practiced every day this week, but it is possible the Eagles hold him out of the meaningless season finale to rest his bruised ego. Fletcher has been getting burnt regularly the past two weeks, giving up three touchdowns to Dez Bryant Week 15 and two long pass plays to DeSean Jackson last week. With Nolan Caroll next up on the Eagles' depth chart, Fletcher missing would actually be a downgrade for Odell Beckham.

Rex Ryan - DT - Jets

NJ.com reports coach Rex Ryan has already cleaned out his desk in advance of the Jets' season finale against the Dolphins.

Always expected to get the axe following another disappointing season, Ryan now appears resigned to his fate. Ryan's will not be the only head that rolls on Monday, however, as special consultant Charley Casserly has reportedly begun contacting potential replacements for GM John Idzik was well.

Seahawks LT Russell Okung (chest) has been cleared to return and is probable to face the Rams Week 17.

Okung ended up missing just one game with a bruised lung suffered Week 15 against the 49ers. With Max Unger (knee/ankle, questionable) also nearing a return, Seattle's offensive line should be 100 percent healthy for the playoff run.
