Delino DeShields Jr. went 2-for-3 with a walk, stolen base and run scored in Saturday's game against the Padres.

DeShields doubled to lead off the game, scoring on a Prince Fielder single. Showing off his blazing speed, the outfielder also stole a base on a pitchout. He's hitting just .235 but has enough speed upside that the Rangers may keep him on their 25-man roster rather than returning him to the Astros.

Joc Pederson hit a two-run home run, his only success in three at-bats, facing the Angels on Saturday.

Pederson got the scoring started with a two-run home run in the second inning against Matt Shoemaker. That's five spring blats for the 22-year-old, who has just about wrapped up the competition for the starting center field job. He's currently holding a .373 average (19-for-51) with 11 RBI.

Clint Barmes went 2-for-3 with two RBI in a win over the Rangers on Saturday.

With the bases loaded in the seventh inning, Barmes smacked a two-run single to tie the game. The Padres' likely Opening Day shortstop is hitting .233 in Cactus League action, but he's in the lineup for his glove.

Prince Fielder went 2-for-2 with an RBI in Saturday's loss to the Padres.

Fielder had an RBI single off Tyson Ross in the first inning, and he was one of the few Rangers hitters who didn't get victimized by Ross on the afternoon. Fielder has 11 hits in 34 at-bats (.324) this spring. He appears to be feeling fine after missing most of 2014 due to neck surgery.

Brennan Boesch contributed a two-run double and a solo home run over four at-bats in Saturday's 9-5 victory over the Cubs.

Boesch, starting in center field, doubled in the Reds' second and third runs in their four-run first inning, then added a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh to make it 9-5. Boesch has been superb for the Reds this spring, batting .383 (18-for-47) with four home runs and 13 RBI. He will very likely break camp with the Reds on the 25-man roster as part of the bench.

Dexter Fowler hit his first Cactus League home run on Saturday, finishing 2-for-4 against the Reds.

Fowler hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning off of Ben Klimesh, bringing the Cubs within five runs at 8-3. It's been a bit of a slow spring for Fowler, as he's hitting just .237 (9-for-38). The Cubs hope the 29-year-old will be able to reach double digits in both home runs and stolen bases this season as he did in 2012 and '13 with the Rockies.

Aroldis Chapman started Saturday's game against the Cubs and struck out the side in his only inning of work.

Chapman struck out Dexter Fowler, Arismendy Alcantara, and Jorge Soler in succession. The fireballing lefty is sitting on a 16/3 K/BB ratio in 11 spring innings. Manager Bryan Price said prior to the game that "there might be opportunities" to use Chapman for more than three outs during the regular season, per MLB.com's Mark Sheldon.

Didi Gregorius (wrist) will take the next three days off.

X-rays came back negative on the wrist, which Gregorius sprained diving for a ball, and the Yankees hope a few days of rest will go a long way. Yanks manager Joe Girardi said he hopes to get Gregorius back in the lineup on Wednesday. If that timetable holds true, the 25-year-old should be in the Yankees' lineup on Opening Day.
